    'You're a wonder. You're a window into a wide world.'
Scotland, 1504, seen fresh through the eyes of new arrivals Ellen and Anne, two Moorish women who were expected to take their place at a royal court… but not this one.
Both women now have to fight to find and keep a place in the dazzling, dangerous world of the Scottish court of James IV. It's a world where war is never far away, words of love and promises of peace are not what they seem, and where poets might turn out to be more dangerous than any assassin.
Rona Munro continues her journey through an uncharted period of Scottish history with James IV: Queen of the Fight, which was first presented in 2022 by Raw Material and Capital Theatres in association with National Theatre of Scotland, and directed by Laurie Sansom.
It follows the spectacular success of Munro's plays about James I, II and III, which were first performed by National Theatre of Scotland, transferred to the National Theatre, London, and were named Best New Play at the Evening Standard Awards.

"Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary, Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore— While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping, As of some one gently rapping—rapping at my chamber door. "Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door — Only this and nothing more." Those sonorous and somber words of Edgar Allan Poe that begin The Raven are part of most everyone's fond educational memories. Beautiful and haunting to hear and even more fun to read aloud. In this recording I have just attempted to express my enjoyment of the beauty in some favorite Poe poems. Beside The Raven, there are Alone; A Dream Within A Dream; Annabel Lee; City In the Sea; The Bells; A Dream Within a Dream; Annabel Lee; Dreamland; Evening Star; Lenore; Eldorado; A Valentine and "The Happiest Day". Hopefully listeners will enjoy hearing them half as much as I enjoyed the selfish pleasure of recording them.

'I like having things. I like having lots of things. It reminds me that I'm... Y'know? A person.'
Alice is done with fast fashion. Ben can't stop buying trainers. And Charlie just wants to sell out… one organ at a time.
Billie Collins's play Peak Stuff is a fast-paced, funny, fearless deep-dive into consumer culture. In an age of retail therapy, climate crisis and click and collect - how does our 'stuff' define us? And have we reached peak stuff?
The play was commissioned by ThickSkin and Lawrence Batley Theatre, was a winner of the New Play Commission Scheme, and was first presented on tour of the UK in 2024.

The Soul´s Journey Home is a collection of poems borne out of a spiritual journey brought about due to the pandemic a few years ago. The resulting awakening provided me with the answers to many questions I was unsure about with regards to faith and spirituality and the discovery can have widespread benefits within every aspect of a persons life. The purpose of my poetry is to encourage curiosity within the reader and convey how our answers are well within our reach and closer than we might have imagined.

Life is full of love, but it is also full of loss. Like paper cuts to the heart, every big and seemingly insignificant loss—the loss of friendships, faith, dreams, health, community, and everything in between—grieves us more than we think it will, and often more than we let on. Why? Because they matter.

In this compassionate and deeply personal book, Rachel Marie Kang invites you to see and be seen in the midst of your sorrow, your suffering—your story. Through prose and poetry that gives voice to all the things we lose along the way, this gracious book will help you

    ● ponder your loss without judgment

    ● remember what was and make meaning of your memories

    ● reflect on what is yet to be as you heal with hope

You don't have to bury your pain, and you don't have to pretend you're over it just because the world thinks you should be. Let Rachel walk hand in hand with you, giving space for sorrow and welcoming you as you find your way along the path to healing.

"If you've ever wished you could read an Edward Hopper painting, this is a book for you."
    - Allison Larkin, Best Selling Author of The People We Keep and Home of The American Circus.
Hold Tight & Reach Hard: Poetry and Prose is a moving collection that explores the raw edges of life—where pain meets perseverance, where regret gives way to resilience, and where self-doubt is met with the quiet determination to push forward.
With an unfiltered, honest voice, Darrell Kane delivers poetry that is meant to be felt, not dissected. From the depths of struggle to the glimmers of hope, these poems navigate love, loss, addiction, mental health, and the everyday battles we fight within ourselves.
For readers who appreciate the emotional depth of Rupi Kaur, the raw vulnerability of Sabrina Benaim, and the quiet strength of Mary Oliver, this book is an invitation to hold on, to reach for more, and to find beauty in the struggle.
