Summary

If you’re telling yourself this book isn’t for you because you’re locked into circumstances you can’t change, because you didn’t get your life off to a great start, because it’s already too late, or because too many people are depending on you…I wrote this book for you.I wrote it for anyone who feels stuck—who wants to break out and try something different but who keeps not doing it. Maybe they think their circumstances are locking them in, maybe they’re just scared, or maybe they think they could summon the courage and get into motion if they just knew where they wanted to go.I wrote it for people who want something more—people who already have quite a lot but still feel restless and people who’ve never had much but aren’t willing to give up on the idea of having more. Finally, I wrote this book for women—not in an exclusionary, “No boys allowed” way, but because most of the books out there on the personal and career development shelves seem to assume a male reader. They make recommendations that any mother knows are out of reach...If you need to get kids to the school bus with their breakfasts eaten, backpacks packed, and at least most of their clothes on, matched, and right-side out, devoting the first three hours of your day to a morning routine of meditation, exercise, deep work, juicing, and day-planning might be fantastic. But so would a million dollars and a magic wand.

    ADHD 2 Books in 1
"ADHD 2 Books in 1: A Guide to ADHD in Both Children and Adults" is not just a book; it's a comprehensive toolkit for understanding and navigating the complexities of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) at every stage of life. This essential compendium brings together two pivotal works, each tailored to illuminate the challenges and solutions for those affected by ADHD, whether in the bloom of childhood or the fullness of adulthood.
The journey begins with an in-depth exploration of ADHD in children, where the first volume lays out everything parents, educators, and healthcare professionals need to know about recognizing the early signs and symptoms of ADHD. It goes beyond diagnosis, offering a wealth of knowledge on conventional treatments and innovative self-help strategies designed to support the unique needs of young individuals as they grow. This segment is a beacon for parents and guardians, providing not just medical insights but practical advice on creating supportive environments that foster development and success.
Transitioning to adulthood, the second volume acknowledges the evolving nature of ADHD. It confronts the misconception that ADHD is solely a childhood issue, presenting a detailed analysis of how the disorder affects adults differently. From navigating diagnosis later in life to implementing effective management strategies, this book covers the gamut of adult ADHD with empathy and expertise. Readers will find guidance on treatment options, advice on handling professional and personal relationships, and tips for managing daily life with greater ease and confidence.

Most books about public speaking don't tell you what to do when you open your mouth and nothing comes out. And they don't tell you how to get over the anxiety about performance that most people naturally have. They don't tell you what to do in the moments when you are made, as a woman, to feel small. They don't tell you how to own the room. This book does. From the way Michelle Obama projects ‘happy high status', and the power of J.K.Rowling's understated speaking style, to Virginia Woolf's leisurely pacing and Oprah Winfrey's mastery of inner conviction, what is it that our heroines do to make us sit up and listen - really listen - to their every word? And how can you achieve that impact in your own life? Here's how.
