He is best known for his seven supernatural thrillers, including "War in Heaven," "Many Dimensions," and "The Place of the Lion." Aside from his literary career, Williams was also a member of the Golden Dawn, a secret society that practiced occult rituals, and he had a particular interest in the esoteric traditions of Christianity.
