Synopsis

Christmas is a time for family, friends, and loved ones to come together and celebrate the season. For some, it is also a time of reflection on the past year and preparations for the coming one. For Ebenezer Scrooge, it is a time to be alone.

Since he was a child, Scrooge has been taught that Christmas is a time for charity and goodwill toward others. But after being forced into retirement by his ruthless business partner, Scrooge finds himself lonely at Christmastime. One night in front of his fire, Scrooge has a dream in which an old man named Jacob Marley shows him all of the ways he has wronged others over the years. The most important lesson from Jacob Marley is that change can happen if someone truly wants it to.

After waking up from his dream, Scrooge decides to start living life more positively and helps three poor people during Christmas Eve services. Inspired by this change in attitude, other people begin to show up at his door asking for help - even old friends from when he was still successful in business have come back to ask for his advice. In the end, Scrooge learns that happiness comes not from things but from within oneself and shares this message with everyone at his Christmas party.

This simple story about redemption contains powerful lessons about self-awareness and forgiveness that are relevant today more than ever. With its timeless messages of hope and encouragement, A Christmas Carol will touch readers' hearts deeply as they journey along with Ebenezer Scrooge on his journey to becoming a better person."

It is a classic and it is one of the most loved Christmas stories ever written.
It is a story with a lot of moral teachings which can be applied to our lives today.
It is a story that will make you laugh and it will make you cry.
It is a story that will make you think.
It is a story that will make you want to be a better person.
It is a story that is worth reading and worth remembering.

This book is about fighting, learning and studying people.
It’s sports psychology applied. It's about personal growth through sports, based on my training in different striking and grappling disciplines for 30 years.
Some say you can learn more life lessons from martial arts than from documentaries and journalists’ reports. Why fight and what can I get from it? How much effort is it worth? Can I become better and fulfilled through fighting? How to learn combat efficiently? Which martial arts are currently martial and which have become just an art?How can my insecurities be related to my need to fight? How being an adrenaline junkie and my ego can harm me and others? Why are there so many weird guys in the gyms? Where are the true sensei? What can meditation techniques have to do with all this?
It’s for people looking in martial arts for something more than the primitive pounding, who feel that they should be about something other than “ripping the opponent's head off”.
This book should serve as a shortcut for not wasting your time and health on some people. Instead, I hope you will take care of sensible self-improvement, both physically and mentally – for yourself and for others. It's about mindfulness plus willpower.
I don’t like to fight. But I dislike aggressors and abusers even more. I’ve been doing it all these years cause I wanted to learn all dimensions of combat and self-defense. I haven’t become enlightened thanks to this, and I still can’t levitate. And I don’t think just fighting people makes you much wiser. It is about mindfulness plus willpower. It is up to us to educate ourselves.

It’s Easter time. Spid is excited about chocolate eggs and a very special cake – until he notices that carrots and lettuces are vanishing from his vegetable patch. How could they just disappear? Is there a vegetable thief at work? As he investigates, Spid must be as cleverley as Cleverley Evaleigh to solve the mystery. But can you solve the mystery before Spid in this fun Easter book for kids? This audiobook features two songs: 'We're Sorry' and 'Wabbit'. You can also find music videos of the songs at https://spidthespider.com and https://www.youtube.com/spidthespider. Spid is a lowly spider, who wants to better himself, write songs, and marry his girlfriend Bid, though he is prone to hilarious mishaps mostly of his own making. He is hard-working, cool, and a role model for young children. As well as encouraging children to read and love books, Spid's adventures also teach valuable life lessons, including determination and what psychologists call a 'growth mindset' (desire to better oneself and succeed), the importance of friendship, and sustainability. With very creative prose, Spid's adventures are fun for parents, and teachers to read to, and with, their children. They present lots of opportunities to invest dramatic licence thus helping adults and children interact and engage. The humour works at multiple levels from silly and slapstick to more sophisticated wordplay and concepts. Thus, children will discover more and enjoy reading the stories multiple times.
