Synopsis

'Marriage License' (1933) is a provocative short story published in the risqué pulp magazine Spicy Stories. I love narrating these types of stories because they emphasize the interaction between men and women without salacious details about sex. 
Set during the early 20th century, 'Marriage License' follows a young couple navigating the tension between societal expectations and personal desires. They go about pursuing a marriage license under questionable circumstances.  
With its flirtatious tone and suggestive dialogue you'll be surprised at how much this spicy story pushes the boundaries toward love, gender roles, and morality.
