Cambrian Tales appeared in serialised form in Ainsworth's Magazine from March 1849 to March 1850 and has not previously been published as a novel.Like the political pamphlet Artegall, also included in this volume, it constitutes part of Jane Williams' attempts to defend Wales against the notorious 'Blue Books', the 1847 government report which damned the Welsh as ignorant, immoral, and barbaric.A comedy of manners, set in and around a Welsh country house, it features characters clearly modelled on Ysgafell's patron, Lady Llanover, and her social circle. Also included are two representative poems, one from Celtic Fables (1862), a feminist reworking of ancient legend, and the previously unpublished 'A Petition' in which a night-cap maker protests against her dire exploitation.Ysgafell's social conscience, her patriotism, and her sardonic humour are evident throughout the volume.

107 Days is a powerful memoir about leadership, resilience, and transformation under pressure. In the wake of a historic turning point, a leader is thrust into the national spotlight with only 107 days to define a vision, build momentum, and confront forces determined to resist change. The story blends the urgency of politics with the universal lessons of productivity and focus. From campaign war rooms to rallies across the country, it captures both the chaos of high-stakes decision-making and the quiet discipline required to lead with clarity. More than a chronicle of events, this audiobook offers insight into how moments of crisis can sharpen purpose, how trust is built under fire, and how determination can turn scarcity of time into strength. For listeners, it is both a gripping narrative and a motivational guide to facing their own compressed timelines with courage and strategy.

It is 1963, Jean-Yves Soucy is 18 and looking for a summer job. He dreams of being a fire warden scanning the boreal forest from a fire tower. But to his dismay he is sent to an equipment depot somewhere between Val-d’Or and Chibougamau in Northern Quebec. His disappointment vanishes when he learns that the depot is located near a Cree community and that he will have two Cree guides, including a man named William Saganash, and his work will involve canoeing through the lakes and rivers of the region.
On each encounter with the Crees, on each of the long trips across water or through the bush, Jean-Yves expects to see a new world but realizes he’s meeting a different civilization, as different from his own as Chinese civilization. Yet he knows nothing about it. Nor does he understand the nature surrounding them as do his Cree guides, and friends.
Jean-Yves Soucy wrote this story because Romeo Saganash, son of William, insisted: “You have to write that, Jean-Yves. About your relationship with my father and the others, how you saw the village. You got to see the end of an era.”
He unfortunately passed away before completing it. However, in his poignant Afterword, Romeo Saganash provides a finishing touch to this story of an unlikely meeting of two worlds.

Amelia Earhart's name has become synonymous with courage, ambition, and mystery. As one of the most iconic figures of the 20th century, her groundbreaking achievements in aviation and her tragic disappearance continue to captivate historians, researchers, and the general public. Earhart’s life was a tapestry of pioneering success and relentless determination, making her a symbol of human resilience and curiosity.

Born in 1897, Earhart grew up with a passion for adventure, defying the gender norms of her time. Her fascination with flying began during her twenties, and she quickly rose to prominence as an aviator. From being the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean to setting numerous records for altitude and speed, Earhart consistently pushed the boundaries of what women could achieve. Beyond her aerial accomplishments, she was also a writer, lecturer, and staunch advocate for women’s rights, inspiring generations to dream beyond societal expectations.

Yet, it is not just Earhart’s achievements that cement her legacy. The enduring mystery surrounding her disappearance in 1937 during an attempt to circumnavigate the globe has kept her story alive in a way few others have achieved. Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan, vanished somewhere over the Pacific Ocean, sparking one of the largest search efforts in history. Despite extensive naval and aerial searches, no definitive trace of Earhart or her aircraft was ever found, leaving room for endless speculation and theories.
