Beschreibung

The Junker Ju 87, known as the Stuka, was a German bomber of which approximately 5,700 were produced during World War II.Few aircraft that fought in World War II were as controversial and famous as the Junkers Ju 87 Stuka dive bomber.A symbol and instrument of the military power of the Third Reich, these aircraft were the impressive protagonists of the beginning of World War II.From the second half of the 1930s, the Ju-87 represented a new class of fighter aircraft, arousing heated debates, especially within the Luftwaffe high command.	After the Polish and French campaigns, the Ju-87 became almost a legend, actively fueled by its supporters, who created an aura of superior and unparalleled armament around the aircraft.Slow and angular, with poor survivability and rather weak fire protection, the Ju 87 was relatively easy prey for enemy fighters. However, the high accuracy of its bombing and its effectiveness in combat more than made up for many of its shortcomings.	Once it had achieved air supremacy, the aircraft became an effective means of aerial terror, dropping bombs with terrifying accuracy and producing a devastating psychological effect on its victims. The most widely produced version was the D series. The aircraft's armor had been reinforced and the defensive armament of the aircraft had been increased: 4 machine guns and 1,800 kg of bombs.

In Ancient Mesopotamia, women in positions of royalty wielded significant power and influence, though their roles were often intertwined with the male-dominated political and religious systems. These women were not only important figures within their families and courts but also held sway over matters of governance, culture, and religion. The Mesopotamian concept of royalty was complex, encompassing both divine authority and political responsibility, and women in royal families were frequently called upon to uphold and represent these ideals.
One of the most prominent ways in which women in Mesopotamian royalty exercised their power was through marriage alliances. Royal women were often married to powerful kings or high-ranking officials, and these unions were strategically arranged to secure political stability, territorial expansion, and alliances between city-states. While the majority of these marriages were political in nature, some royal women were able to carve out roles of personal power and influence. For instance, Queen Shub-Ad, who ruled the Sumerian city-state of Ur, is believed to have held a direct and significant role in political decision-making during her reign. Her involvement in military campaigns, the construction of monumental architecture, and religious rituals showcases the multifaceted nature of female royal authority.
In addition to their marriages, royal women in Mesopotamia often took on important religious roles. Many queens and princesses served as high priestesses, a position that not only gave them spiritual authority but also political power. Priestesses were central figures in the worship of the gods, and as such, they were deeply connected to the divine. Enheduanna, the daughter of the Akkadian king Sargon, is one of the most well-known royal women from Mesopotamian history.

Long before he became President of Sinn Féin, Gerry Adams was a civil rights activist who took part in sit-ins, marches and protests in Northern Ireland. Along with hundreds of other men, Adams was interned on the Maidstone prison ship and in Long Kesh prison – without charge or trial – during the 1970s for his political activities. Women were interned also, in Armagh Women's Prison. Cage Eleven is his own account – sometimes passionate, often humorous – of life in Long Kesh. Written while Adams was a prisoner, the pieces were smuggled out for publication.
This updated edition includes a new introduction and sketches drawn in Cage Eleven by another prisoner at the time, Danny Devenny.
'Offers a unique insight into … the experience of internment … an unrivalled representation of the resilience and humour that were as much a part of the life of the political prisoner as the adherence to a set of political ideals.' Irish Herald

"The Gaslighting Epidemic Series: From Personal Betrayal to Societal Deceit" is a compelling two-in-one volume that brings together the critical insights of John D. Kody's "The Gaslighting Trap: Understanding and Overcoming Emotional Abuse" and Michael Brooks' "The Gaslighting of America: How the Elite, the Authorities and Mainstream Media Have Conspired to Deceive the People." This series stands as a testament to the pervasive nature of gaslighting, spanning the intimate corridors of personal relationships to the broad avenues of societal influence.
In the first part of the series, adapted from John D. Kody's work, readers are immersed in the personal impact of gaslighting in relationships. It navigates the emotional complexities of manipulation, unraveling how individuals are led to question their own reality under the influence of a manipulative partner. This section provides an in-depth analysis of the dynamics within intimate betrayals and offers practical strategies for identifying, confronting, and healing from these experiences.
The second part, building upon Michael Brooks' insights, shifts the focus to the broader societal implications of gaslighting. It exposes how elites, authorities, and the media use psychological manipulation to craft a false reality, influencing public perception and eroding the foundations of society. This section critically examines the systemic use of gaslighting to manipulate and control public discourse, reshaping societal norms and values.
Together, these two parts form a comprehensive exploration of gaslighting's impact, both in the intimate sphere of personal relationships and the expansive realm of societal structures. The series educates readers on the multifaceted nature of this manipulation and empowers them with the knowledge and tools necessary to recognize and resist it in all forms.
