Synopsis

Emma Callahan hasn’t been back to Maplewood in over a decade not since her parents’ divorce pulled her across the country at age seventeen, tearing her away from the only home she knew and the boy who knew her best. Now thirty and newly single, Emma returns for her grandmother’s 80th birthday celebration, hoping to blend into the background and quietly sneak out once the party ends. 
What she doesn’t expect is to run straight into Noah Bennett her childhood best friend and the one person she never truly let go of. 
Noah still lives in Maplewood, running his late father’s hardware store and raising his teenage sister after a family tragedy. He’s settled, rooted, but not quite fulfilled. When Emma walks back into his life, the years melt away but so do the walls he carefully built. 
As they reconnect over errands, family duties, and chance run-ins at the old café, Emma and Noah find themselves slipping back into the easy rhythm they once had. But time has changed them both. Life is more complicated, dreams have diverged, and the question lingers: can something once so simple become something lasting?
