Synopsis

Workbook on Hero of Two Worlds: The Marquis de Lafayette in the Age of Revolution by Mike Duncan | Discussions Made Easy

Mike Duncan does not have a graduate degree in history and no prior experience in broadcasting. But this status has not prevented him from becoming the well-known professional history podcaster he has become today. Duncan studied political science and philosophy at Western Washington University. A fishmonger earlier in his career, he spent the most of his time recording The History of Rome. Duncan's interest in Roman history developed due to his general fascination with ancient civilizations. As a result of reading his grandfather's paperback copy of Edward Gibbon's The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, he developed a particular interest in the history of the Roman Empire. Duncan relocated to Paris, France, in 2018 to conduct research for his upcoming book Hero of Two Worlds. Duncan and his family returned to the United States in April 2021 after completing his work on the book.
