Synopsis

Now that otome game villainess Astrid Sophie von Oldenburg has charming imperial prince Friedrich head over heels for her, what’s her next move? To shove him off onto the heroine, of course! Boys who’ll bring the wrath of the empire down upon her family aren’t really her type. Thankfully, she knows just the spell to redirect his affections, and maybe she can even use it to clear a few mines too... Ultimately, however, the heart wants what it wants, so Astrid still needs a backup plan to overthrow the empire; naturally, hers is an arsenal of advanced military hardware. She’s been looking for a good excuse to test her weapons, so what better target than a century-old fire dragon razing a local village? "Whoz Your Daddy; The Misadventures of Mike and Spike is the story of two sperm cells, each of whom is determined to fertilize an available ovary. What this book basically is is a love letter to the human race. We waste so much time on hate, loathing, war and other idiotic endeavors that we don't realize how powerful and productive we can be ganging up on life and fighting all of it's myriad problems collectively.

In a realm where stars waltzed and dreams materialized, the enigmatic Starlight Garden thrived. This ethereal haven housed Lumina, the Shimmering Sprite; Bramble, the Curious Bunny; and Spark, the Playful Firefly.
On a radiant night, a gleaming trail streaked across the sky. Lumina, Bramble, and Spark, captivated by its allure, embarked on a journey into the heart of the garden. There, glowing flowers and murmuring trees welcomed them.
Further in, they encountered mischievous gnome Glimmerkin, entangled in thorns. United, they freed him using Lumina's light and Bramble's dexterity. In gratitude, Glimmerkin offered to lead them to a wish-granting waterfall.
Challenges abounded – moonbeam bridge, owl riddles. They reached a sparkling waterfall, its water stardust-like. Each wished: Lumina for kindness, Bramble curiosity, Spark perpetual playfulness.
Astoundingly, the waterfall fulfilled their wishes, infusing their essence. Spirits lifted, they danced under starlight. Glimmerkin, moved, gifted a star-shaped key, unlocking the garden's doors.
With hearts full and spirits alight, they returned home, having learned that magic resides in kindness, curiosity, and playfulness. Their tale inspired treasures to embrace inner enchantment and the magic around.

To allow so young and delicate a girl to tramp England aimlessly in search of some vague and secret information which seemed to be her erratic father's object, was, we decided, an utter impossibility; therefore, following that night of our first meeting at Helpstone, Burton and his daughter remained our guests for a week, and, after many consultations and some little economies, we were at last successful in placing Mabel at school, a service for which we later received her heartfelt thanks. ...That the precious document, or whatever it was, sewn up in the wash-leather which the dead man had so carefully guarded through all those years was now missing was, in itself, a very suspicious circumstance, while Mabel's vague but distinct apprehensions, which she either would not or could not define, now aroused my suspicions that Burton Blair had been the victim of foul play.

Sometimes the agenda is harmless, but other times it's destructive, and it's not always easy to spot the difference.

Whether you want to be informed on the issues or debunk misinformation wherever you encounter it, How to Win the War on Truth is here to help. You'll learn: the history of propaganda, from Edward Bernays to Fox News; why simple messages are so powerful; who profits from propaganda; how propaganda is manufactured and delivered directly to you; and how to find the truth for yourself.

Filled with real-world examples of propaganda in all its forms, How to Win the War on Truth will help you see the world with clear eyes for the first time. Because when it comes to preserving democracy and fighting for our rights, it's essential that we do.

The Devoted Friend by Oscar Wilde was first published in 1888 in the anthology The Happy Prince and Other Tales.
Hans was a little man who owned a beautiful garden, where he grew flowers of all kinds and colours which were sold in the market to make some money. He enjoyed the company of another man called Hugh, a
miller who used to visit Hans very often during the summer time and with whom he shared thoughts about friendship and loyalty.
However, when winter came, Hans found himself in a very difficult situation, as his flowers wouldn't flourish anymore until the following spring, meaning that he was impoverished, living on a simple diet of a
    few pears or hard nuts.
Meanwhile, the miller lived comfortably in his own house, and avoided visiting his friend or helping him in any way not to make him jealous and spoil, if not break, their friendship.
After winter, when Hans' flowers are blooming, Hugh visits Hans with a basket to get flowers. Upon hearing Hans' story, Hugh promises to give Hans his wheelbarrow, which is falling apart and not even usable. In return for this 'gift,' Hugh guilts Hans into working for him day in and day out, selling his flour, mending his roof, and even going to get the doctor for Hugh's sick son.
On the way back from this last errand, Hans gets lost and dies. Hugh gives himself a prominent place at Hans' funeral, promising never to give anything away again, since the wheelbarrow (which he never gave to Hans) was so much trouble.
