Synopsis

Laxmi is working at the urban nuclear family household of Sujit and Mitu as their domestic help. Living in a city and managing errands within challenging deadlines keep modern nuclear families on their toes; in that context, our friendly neighborhood domestic helps (endearingly referred to as the bai) often assume the position of Man-Fridays for the urban settlers. Keeping the helper in good humor often becomes a matter of life and death and, our urban households subscribe to this legend in all seriousness to survive.
