Sinossi

We delve into Psychology of the Unconscious(In English, 2023 Revision). Prologue.Carl Gustav Jung was a Swiss psychiatrist. In 1902, he obtained his medical doctorate from the University of Zurich. He conducted extensive research under the supervision of psychologist Eugen Bleuler, who was a professor at the university. While collaborating with Freud, he began to study psychology in-depth. In 1908, at the age of 34, he co-founded the International Psychoanalytic Society with Freud. In 1912, after publishing \'Transformation and Symbolism of the Libido\', he ended his professional relationship with Freud due to differences in their views on the unconscious mind. At the age of 44 in 1918, he further developed his theory of in-depth psychology, introducing the concept of the \'collective unconscious.\' To study archetypes in the collective unconscious, he conducted comparative research in cultural and religious history. In 1930, he presented a paper that discussed the theoretical considerations of prototypes. In 1935, he organized and led the Eranos Conference, a gathering of scholars from around the world. Focusing on the influence of the collective unconscious\'s prototypes on personality and self-awareness, he immersed himself in the study of alchemy. In 1948, the Jung Institute was established in Zurich, Switzerland. In 1953, the complete English edition of his works was published. \'Psychology of the Unconscious\' was written in 1912 when Jung was 38 years old. Jung explores the unconscious world by analyzing Miss Miller\'s fantasy system. Through a transcendent desire that surpasses time and space, he seeks to understand the nature of human conflicts. By uncovering the common threads connecting ancient times, he expands the understanding of the unconscious and develops intellectual insight. This book provides a concise summary of a lengthy and challenging text.

In this beautifully illustrated book that's Song of Achilles meets Secret Life of Trees, readers will discover the plants cultivated by the Greek Gods–many of which can still be experimented with today–for a myriad of uses.  In Greek mythology, plants were used for tools, intoxication, warfare, food, medicine, magic, and rituals. When Prometheus stole fire from the Olympian gods and gave it to mankind, he hid it in a stalk of giant fennel. Ancient Greeks waiting to question the oracles were given cannabis as part of their cleansing rituals. A quince fruit started the Trojan war. The goddess Demeter was so distraught when Hades kidnapped her daughter that she caused winter to blanket the earth, killing all plants. Mythic Plants focuses on how the ancient Greeks used plants in their lives and loves and conquests—some of which we can still use. Includes tips throughout for bringing these ancient plants into your garden.

For Pamela Wick, President and Mrs. Reagan were simply Ronnie and Nancy, her parents' best friends. What began with Pamela's mom and Nancy organizing the chili booth at their kids' school fair in Los Angeles soon propelled Pamela's parents into pivotal roles that would help Reagan secure the California governorship and eventually the grand prize: the White House.

Determined to win her parents' approval as the perfect daughter, Pamela marries the son of Republican royalty and joins them in DC to begin her fairytale in the nation's Capitol—or so she thought. What follows is her firsthand look behind the scenes at the gilded age of the Reagan years in Washington, DC—an era now long gone. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes heartbreaking, but always insightful, the narrative chronicles her journey to penetrate Washington society at the highest levels—from Christmas Eve at her family home with President Reagan dressed as Santa Claus, to intimate dinners at the White House. But behind the golden gates, Pam's marriage is unraveling, and her father's high-profile political scandal threatens to destroy their carefully constructed life. Soon, she's trading in glitzy state dinners for congressional hearings attacking her father, and at the center of the Reagan revolution, Pam's own personal uprising begins.

Psychology of the Stock Market is a timeless exploration of the human mind’s powerful influence on financial markets. Written by G. C. Selden in the early 20th century, this concise yet insightful work dissects the emotional forces that drive investor behavior—greed, fear, hope, and herd mentality—and how these psychological factors create the speculative cycles that shape markets.
Selden goes beyond charts and fundamentals to examine the mindset of traders and the mass psychology of the investing public. With practical examples and philosophical clarity, he reveals how market participants often act irrationally, misinterpret data, and fall victim to emotional extremes. This audiobook is essential listening for anyone seeking to understand the true engine behind market movements: human nature.
Whether you're a seasoned investor or just beginning your financial journey, Selden’s reflections remain startlingly relevant in today’s volatile economic landscape. Narrated with clarity and poise, this edition brings a century-old classic to life for modern ears.
