Synopsis

Fleeing Germany just before World War I, B. Traven settled in Mexico. His character driven tale of greed is the inspiration of the Academy Award-winning film, directed by John Huston, and starring Humphrey Bogart.  
Grittier and darker than the film, Traven's book digs deep into the crevices of morality, and in every new situation, each character reveals his brand of integrity as they mine for gold in the Sierra Madre Mountains.
