Synopsis

My name is... tells the story of a family forced to face a series of adversities. The mother Melina and the daughter Tiara embark one day on a journey to an island where the husband and father Aras, unjustly accused of selling drugs, is imprisoned. During the journey, something goes wrong and, due to a storm, the boat on which Melina and her daughter Tiara sailed sinks. The two abandon it and throw themselves into the sea risking their lives but still managing to land on an island in the mainland. Here, they are alone and scattered, and when they are found, Melina is initially presumed dead, only to wake up later. This is a return to life that will mark for her a rebirth, a path backwards, a dive and navigation in the sea of suffering submerged more and more until getting to the source of her pain, her suffering. In therapy, Melina will retrace her entire history, finding the origin of a hidden trauma in the abandonment of her father.
This story teaches us that only by forgiving can we be reborn, that every difficulty also brings with it the strength to overcome it and that perhaps there is beauty even in adverse events. This story teaches us that pain can be transformed into something strong and resilient and that only by confronting what hurts us and what can be uncomfortable, only by questioning our established beliefs and systems of thought can we spread our wings and take flight to a new life, to a rebirth.

Azra Novak was born in Croatia in 1983 and immigrated to Ireland in her 20s in order to find a better life and to educate herself. She has studied employment law and worked in that profession for many years. However, what she considers the most important knowledge did not come from her academic education. While her professional endeavours provided stability, it was her artistic pursuits that fuelled her soul. Her true passion is art in its many forms, and all the work she has created was inspired by real life events.

As Bernard and his pal Robbie begin their investigations, by a cruel twist of fate, another barmaid is murdered, who turns out to be the daughter of the first barmaid. And, by another twist of fate, Carl Fentiman is the main suspect.
A professional medium, with an unconventional use for a crystal ball, is called in to help solve both crimes, but she is as baffled as Bernard and Robbie. Meanwhile Bernard’s housekeeper, Mrs Aitch, has deserted the vicarage for a mysterious suitor….

    The counter-attack begins now.
Captain Justin Spencer has one goal: to execute battle missions with excellence and bring everyone in his galactic fighter squadron safely home. Yet for too long, the Coalition Defense Force has been engaged in a defensive fight with the League of Sol on the Terran Coalition’s home turf.
    No longer.
The CSV Zvika Greengold is once again called upon for a highly clandestine assignment – take the war deep into enemy territory and attack the very heart of the League. It’s been generations since anyone has seen Earth after the communist League chased humanity’s ancestors from their former home, and Justin is eager to lead the squadron of stealth recon fighters for some payback.
Regardless of the danger that awaits them.
Facing the likelihood of no return, thoughts turn to matters of the heart – and soul. Family reunions are all-too brief. The months-long trip toward Earth gives Justin time to contemplate what waits for them in the great beyond. But when the carrier becomes a floundering fortress, it falls to Justin and the brave men and women of the CSV Zvika Greengold to fight their way to freedom as their ancestors once did – by any means necessary.
Or spend the rest of their lives in the hands of a merciless enemy.

Chiroptera Press presents Noctuary & The Spectral Link by the legendary Thomas Ligotti, a consolidated volume of two horror collections, back in print after over a decade. Noctuary is divided into three sections, following Ligotti’s introduction, “In the Night, in the Dark: A Note on the Appreciation of Weird Fiction.” The first section, Studies in Shadow, begins with “The Medusa,” blurring lines between fiction, metaphor, and reality. “Conversations in a Dead Language” chronicles a mailman’s Halloween nights leading to doom, while “The Prodigy of Dreams” features Arthur Emerson’s answered prayers to an obscure god. “Mrs. Rinaldi’s Angel” involves a child’s nightmares and dubious supernatural assistance.Discourse on Blackness, the second section, starts with “The Tsalal,” an apocalyptic novelette set in Moxton, introducing Andrew Maness and an ancient power. “Mad Night of Atonement” presents a scientist’s invention channeling the Creator’s power, and “The Strange Design of Master Rignolo” follows a visual artist’s descent into madness. “The Voice in the Bones” evokes a surreal prison. The third section, Notebook of the Night, features twenty vignettes exploring insidious exploits, esoteric rituals, and hymns to the void. The Spectral Link, Ligotti’s most recent collection, emerged after his near-death experience. “Metaphysica Morum” channels the rage and despair of The Conspiracy Against the Human Race. The volume ends with “The Small People,” a poignant masterpiece exploring the uncanny terror of existence.Narrated by Jon Padgett, a renowned voice in the world of weird fiction. Padgett, an accomplished author, is celebrated for his haunting narrations, particularly his work on Ligotti’s Songs of a Dead Dreamer & Grimscribe (Penguin). "Thomas Ligotti is a master of a different order, practically a different species. He probably couldn’t fake it if he tried, and he never tries. He writes like horror incarnate.”—Terrence Rafferty, New York Times Book Review

You know what sucks? In today's world, there are hardworking people like me drowning under medical debt—F* cancer—and then there are guys with way too much money. Guys who treat cash like a weapon, who shouldn't get to be both rich and unfairly hot. Guys like Abydos. When I finally land the personal chef position I've been desperate for, I figure working for one of these a-holes is going to be a nightmare. But for every scar I carry from surgery and survival, Abydos hides three of his own. He's a grumpy recluse who takes his anger out on everyone . . . except me.Why me? I mean, I know my Coq au Vin is delicious, but the way he looks at me has nothing to do with food. I'm just "the help." But under that scarred, surly armor is a male I'd risk everything to care for, everything to touch. And maybe—just maybe—the coziness of an Eastshore autumn isn't the only thing heating up around here . . . This feel-good, low-angst, high-heat cozy romance features the following tropes: Grumpy/sunshine, wounded billionaire boss, cheese as a love language, hurt/comfort, adorable small-town (of course), lots of humor, lots of heat!
    Contains mature themes.
