Synopsis

Arthur Stringer (1874 – 1950) was a Canadian novelist, screenwriter, and poet who later moved to the United States.

In The City of Peril, an wealthy young man as the central figure of the action. He is spurred to life by the mocking thrust of a girl, jumps into a mystery of the New York underworld involving machinations of the Reds and incidentally meets there the brown-eyed girl who is apparently involved in the network of the nefarious underground pursuits and practices of the enemies to society. How he wins out holds the reader’s breathless interest, leaving no time whatever to pick flaws in the story which, unquestionably improbable and highly melodramatic, is nevertheless most engrossing.

The time has come to take back the power and let the kingdom fall.

Sienna: It's time to make my move. With solid proof on my finger, I leave my love and enter the gates of the enemy. Ugo is by my side as we fall into their world and quickly discover the cracks in the Coppola family's foundation. I'm confident I'm protected by my father's name, and though I'm welcomed by some, I'm watched by others.

I played my part well—maybe too well, because I think I just changed the future for us all.

Elio: Her mother's lies blew up my entire world. How could the woman I love have the blood of a monster? With all eyes intently on me, I turn my back on what is revealed and sink further into what I need to do. I seek the cover of smoke and mirrors and force back the shadows that want to take me down.

But with any good play there comes a blind spot, and this blind spot might just come with an unexpected body count.

A wedding is in her future

Miss Sophie Payton might be engaged, but she's not in love. The only man who ever captured her heart was Phillip Grayson—a soldier who was slain a year ago. But when her stepmother decrees that Sophie will marry Phillip's cousin, the new Duke of Harlowe, Sophie's in no position to refuse.

A funeral is in his past

The ton thinks Phillip Grayson died a hero on the battlefields of Europe, but he's very much alive. While he spent the last year recuperating from his grave injuries in secret at his friend's estate, his brother was murdered, his cousin took over the title of duke, and the woman he loved—the one he dreamed of every night—apparently moved on without him.

    But the duke is back

Phillip has returned to London intent on reclaiming his brother's title and making the people who killed him pay. He doesn't understand how Sophie could have betrayed him; she can't forgive him for letting her believe he was dead. And yet neither can deny that the attraction between them burns hotter than ever. Nothing is as it seems, but perhaps the truth can save them . . . if it doesn't kill them first.

A sharp-witted, debut high fantasy farce featuring killer moat squid, toxic masculinity, evil wizards, and a garlic festival—all at once.

It's bad enough waking up in a half-destroyed evil wizard's workshop with no eyebrows, no memories, and no idea how long you have before the Dread Lord Whomever shows up to murder you horribly and then turn your skull into a goblet or something.

It's a lot worse when you realize that Dread Lord Whomever is . . . you.

Gav isn't really sure how he ended up with a castle full of goblins, or why he has a princess locked in a cell. All he can do is play along with his own evil plan in hopes of getting his memories back before he gets himself killed.

But as he realizes that nothing—from the incredibly tasteless cloak adorned with flames to the aforementioned princess—is quite what it seems, Gav must face up to all the things the Dread Lord Gavrax has done. And he'll have to answer the hardest question of all—who does he want to be?

A high fantasy farce featuring killer moat squid, toxic masculinity, an evil wizard convocation, and a garlic festival. All at once. All in all, Dread Lord Gavrax has had better weeks.

The saying goes you shouldn't bite the hand that feeds you, but maybe you should if that same hand prevents you from feeding yourself.

Every territory has a King and Metro Atlanta is no exception. They have two. Gang Lords Blanket and Guerilla have been ruling the game with iron fists. Long ago, they decided that neither would cross into the other's territory and all would be well. Things change when Guerilla breaks the rules. Blanket retaliates swiftly, causing a turf war like never before. The two madmen leave bloodshed, murder, and mayhem in their wake.

Caught in the middle of this battle, from different sides of the track, are London and Saint.

Spoiled rich Roanoke girl London Royal is no exception to the old saying, "every girl loves a bad boy and his bad ways'. When she visits the downtrodden Jonesboro neighborhood of Goodman with her best friends, her privileged world changes drastically with one party and later a tow-truck pick up by bad boy Santana Black.

Santana "Saint" Black is anything but a saint. Caught up in the drug game, Saint is a runner and enforcer for Blanket. The blood on his hands can never be washed away. Not to mention he's from the wrong side of the tracks to have his sights set on London.

Can they find love in the middle of a war, or will both fall victims to the game of the streets? A modern day Romeo and Juliet mixed with murder, drugs, and mayhem, the story of The Black Royals in Carl Weber's Kingpins Series, the ATL edition will leave you on the edge of your seat.
