Synopsis

First published in 1915, “The Way of Divine Union” is a fascinating book on the subject of mysticism by A. E. Waite. Arthur Edward Waite (1857 – 1942), more commonly referred to as A. E. Waite, was an American-born British mystic and poet. He wrote profusely on the subject of the occult and esoteric matters, and is famous for being the co-creator of the Rider-Waite Tarot deck. His work arguably constitutes the first attempt to systematically studying the history of western occultism, which he viewed more of a spiritual tradition than proto-science or pseudo-religion, as was the more common conception. Contents include: “Characteristics of the Present Age in Respect of the Church and the World”, “In Respect of Relations between God, Man, and the Universe”, “The True Life of These Subjects”, “Experience of the Mystical Life”, “Immediate Answers Which It Offers”, etc. Other works by this author include: “The Alchemical Writings of Edward Kelly” (1893), “Turba Philsophorum” (1894), and “Devil-Worship in France” (1896). Many vintage books such as this are increasingly scarce and expensive. We are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern, high-quality edition complete with a specially-commissioned new biography of the author.

He that is to govern a whole nation, must read in himself, not this, or that particular man; but mankind.
Leviathan by Thomas Hobbes is both a magnificent literary achievement and the greatest work of political philosophy in the English language. Permanently challenging, it has found new applications and new refutations in every generation. Hobbes argues that human beings are first and foremost concerned with their own individual desires and fears. He shows that a conflict of each against every man can only be avoided by the adoption of a compact to enforce peace. The compact involves giving up some of our natural freedom to a sovereign power which will enforce the laws of peace on all citizens. Hobbes also analyses the subversive forces - religion, ambition, private conscience - that threaten to destroy the body politic, Leviathan itself, and return us to the state of war.

"Dark Psychology Mastery Vol is a masterful combination of two profound books by Michael Pace, a trailblazer who introduced the world to "Dark Psychology" in 2014. This volume, bringing together two distinct yet complementary areas of psychological manipulation and influence, offers an in-depth exploration of the darker aspects of human interaction and mind control.
Michael Pace, following his seminal work "Dark Psychology 101" that sent shockwaves in 2015, continues to unravel the complex layers of the human psyche in this compelling compilation. The first part of the volume, "Dark NLP: How To Use Neuro-linguistic Programming For Self Mastery, Getting What You Want, Mastering Others And To Gain An Advantage Over Anyone," delves into the world of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), a tool so potent that its full potential has been shrouded in secrecy. Pace skillfully combines critical insights from both psychology and NLP, offering readers a unique opportunity to master their own lives before extending their influence over others. This book is a guide to harnessing the power of NLP, from creating deep connections instantly to achieving personal goals and mastering the art of influence.
The journey deepens with the second part, "Dark Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: How to Stealthily Use CBT Methods To Influence And Manipulate Anyone’s Mind." Here, Pace takes a familiar therapeutic approach – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy – and reveals its darker application. Dark CBT emerges as a powerful technique for personal success, enabling readers to subtly manipulate and influence others, molding situations and people to their advantage. This section of the book is not just a revelation; it's a strategy for personal empowerment, teaching you to heal and influence simultaneously.

The nervous geopolitical tension between East and West, the Cold War, emerged before the end of the Second World War and lasted until 1991 with the collapse of the Soviet Union. The British Army of the Rhine was born in 1945 out of the British Liberation Army at the close of the war as the military government of the British zone of occupied Germany. As the Soviet threat increased, so BAOR became less of an occupational army and assumed the role of defender of Western Europe, and as a major contributor to NATO after 1949.This book traces and examines the changing role of BAOR from 1945 to its demise in the 1993 Options for Change defence cuts. It looks at the part it played in the defence of West Germany, its effectiveness as a Cold War deterrent, the garrisons and capabilities, logistics and infrastructure, its arms and armour, the nuclear option and the lives of the thousands of families living on the front line.

A former EPA chief attorney traces the tumultuous history of the agency’s enforcement efforts from the Nixon through the second Bush administrations.   Based on 190 personal interviews with present and former enforcement officials at EPA, the U.S. Department of Justice, and key congressional staff members—along with extensive research among EPA documents and secondary sources—this book vividly recounts the often-tumultuous history of EPA’s enforcement program. It also analyzes some important questions regarding EPA’s institutional relationships and the Agency’s working environment. This revised and updated edition adds substantial new chapters examining EPA enforcement during the Clinton and George W. Bush administrations. Its treatment of issues of civil service decline and the applicability of captive agency theory is also new and original.   The first published work to treat the historical evolution of EPA enforcement, this book provides a candid inside glimpse of a crucial aspect of the work of an important federal agency.   “Explores the agency’s strengths and weaknesses . . . With insight and intimate knowledge of enforcement and compliance, Mintz relates an interesting story.” —Ecology Law Quarterly
