Synopsis

The Eustace Diamonds is a novel by Anthony Trollope, part of the Palliser series, that centers on the morally ambiguous character of Lizzie Greystock, who becomes Lady Eustace after marrying the wealthy but ailing Sir Florian Eustace.After a brief marriage that produces a son, Sir Florian dies, leaving Lizzie in possession of a diamond necklace valued at ten thousand pounds.
