Synopsis

Framley Parsonage is a novel by English author Anthony Trollope and the fourth installment in the Chronicles of Barsetshire, following Doctor Thorne and preceding The Small House at Allington. Like the other books in the series, it is set in the fictional county of Barsetshire and its cathedral town of Barchester.Amid the tranquil landscape of rural Barsetshire, ambition quietly disrupts the measured rhythms of clerical life. When the young and well-intentioned Reverend Mark Robarts comes under the patronage of powerful aristocrats, he believes he is securing a promising future for himself and his devoted wife, Fanny.
