Beschreibung

Helen's life is tedious. Maid to a rich but distant couple, she wishes for a little excitement in her life.

But when the prodigal son returns, she gets more that she bargained for. Young Mr. Elliott has a taste for innocent young women—and a dominant and cruel personality. Helen finds herself submitting to his dark desires, and entering a world of pleasure—and of pain!

~~~~~ PG Excerpt ~~~~~
“How long have you worked here?’’
“Two years, sir.’’
“Very good. I trust you are a good maid, able to do as you are told?’’ Mr. Elliott asked and Helen felt his eyes on her, looking at her intently. She didn’t dare to lift her eyes, but she was sure that he was still sporting that little smile because she could hear it in his voice.
Helen almost found herself wishing that young Mr. Elliott was more like his parents, cold and snobbish, because they always said what they meant. But young Mr. Elliott seemed to be talking in code, saying one thing with his voice implying another, expecting Helen to understand. Or maybe he wasn’t expecting Helen to understand and dropped in innuendos and insinuations for his own amusement.
“I hope so, sir,’’ she said eventually, doing her best to act like she wasn’t affected by young Mr. Elliott’s games.
“I’d like to see for myself.’’ Mr. Elliott paused and Helen waited with bated breath. “Fetch me some tea, Helen.’’
It was a relief that his order turned out to be so common; Helen had almost expected something… Much less common. She didn’t really know what, but for a moment she had been convinced that he would say something that would make her stutter and blush wildly. Still, she felt herself get a little redder in the face because young Mr. Elliott had addressed her by her given name. It was more than a little bit embarrassing, swooning and blushing like this, but she had never met someone whose presence was so intense.
    Because every epic romance deserves an epic happy ending . . .
    All Charles Heppel wants is a wedding. It's not much to ask now that he's set his playboy days aside for his almost-ordained fiancé. He can't wait for a lovely, lazy beach honeymoon with His Holy Hotness to continue Hugo's education in the bedroom.
    Surely this third wedding date will be the charm and won't get cancelled, will it? After all, Hugo's followed his calling almost to the end of his path to ordination. Nothing should keep him from gaining his own parish with Charles as his husband.
    Hugo's calling thinks differently, demanding he leaves for the remote island of Kara-Enys without Charles.
    That news should be shattering, but if Charles Heppel has one thing going for him, it's that he's relentlessly optimistic. And romantic. Most islands have beaches, don't they?
