Synopsis

Every assassin has a first time… 
 
On the backstreets of Lyon, France, an MI6 surveillance team are gunned down in a cold-blooded ambush. Thrust into the hunt for the assassin is the sole survivor – rookie covert operative Duncan Grant. 
 
His feats in training are already the stuff of legend. His tough, solitary existence on Scotland’s Isle of Skye forging a man willing to kill to protect the innocent and save lives. 
 
But no training can prepare Grant for the devastating consequences his first kill will unleash. 
 
As he follows a bloody trail of clues around the globe, he discovers that his own agency is selling him out. 
 
Now Grant is about to find himself in the middle of an international conspiracy involving a corrupt Interpol detective, a Saudi prince, and the highest levels of government. 
 
But they’ve underestimated the wrong man. 
 
And Grant's about to prove to them that the second kill is far easier than the first.
