Synopsis

The specter of gangster Al Capone looms over amateur sleuths Nuala McGrail and Dermot Coyne in this Chicago-set mystery by Andrew Greeley.Twice before, Nuala McGrail has amazed her faithful suitor, Dermot Coyne, with her psychic ability to "reach back" into the past and discover a wrong that needs righting. While paying respects to Dermot's grandparents in Chicago's Mount Carmel Cemetery, Nuala points to the grave of the famous bootlegger Jimmy "Sweet Rolls" Sullivan and matter-of-factly states that nobody is buried in it. Before you can say "Erin go Bragh," Dermot investigates yet another historic mystery—this time about the odd circumstances surrounding the death of Al Capone's most famous rival. Nuala and Dermot find that historic mysteries often threaten their present safety—and discreet inquiries can lead to lethal answers.
