  The Jupiter Sun - The Greatest...

  This book was inspired by my previous work of Science Fiction in: 'The Book To End All Books'. At the climactic conclusion of that book, I realized that we didn't have the 1,000 years I gave humankind to create a 2nd sun in the sky. We would be extinct by then and long buried in the debris of our own destruction. 
  So, I decided to put all the speculative knowledge that I had learned from my science fiction novel into use in this book in hopes that perhaps humanity would be wise enough to give it a try. We can do this. We can ignite Jupiter and create a 2nd sun. And, I also answer the question - Why would we do this? 
  Humanity has some major challenges to its continued existence that are caused by our technology. But now we have the opportunity to use our advanced space and rocket technology and our laser Fusion Reactor technology to combine them into a major project for the world to take on. 
  We can use our current knowledge of nuclear fusion and space travel to send a team to create a station on the four moons of Jupiter and shoot high energy red laser beams into the hydrogen core of Jupiter to ignite the gas giant into a 2nd sun in our sky. Don't worry - Jupiter is five times further away from us than our present sun, so it would not create any significant amounts of additional heat. It's also 1,000 times smaller than our 1st sun, so again, we have nothing to fear from increased heat. BUT, we would gain twice as much FREE AND SUSTAINABLE SOLAR ENERGY from another sun and this could be utilized by both the Earth and Mars to save our species.

  On Time Causality and the Block...

  May of us harbour deep questions on subjects such as the origin of the universe, the concepts of time and causality, the nature of consciousness and free will, the mind-body problems of philosophy, the relationship between mathematics and physics, and more. Conventional answers will usually be from fundamental physics (often deeply mathematical) or philosophy (often very abstract). This work takes a different view of reality by substituting mathematical determinism for causal determinism, thereby making it clear why mathematics so adequately describes our observations and measurements. It then deconstructs many aspects of experience - all of which taint our supposedly objective study of the universe - to see how they emerge from a timeless block universe. Subjects such as quantum theory, change, choice, probability, thermodynamics, and consciousness all have to be disassembled. The conclusion is consistent with both mathematics and experience, provides an answer that is immune from the question of 'first cause', and yet does not lead to further questions, albeit in an unexpected way.

  Empiricism, as a philosophical doctrine, asserts that knowledge is primarily derived from sensory experience. This perspective contrasts sharply with rationalism, which emphasizes reason and innate knowledge. Empiricism has shaped our understanding of the world and influenced numerous fields, from the natural sciences to ethics and epistemology. The essence of empiricism lies in the conviction that the mind begins as a "blank slate" (tabula rasa) and that experience, rather than pre-existing ideas or concepts, forms the foundation of all knowledge. 
  At the heart of empiricist thought is the belief that all human knowledge starts with perception. We acquire information about the world through our senses—sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell—which provide the raw data from which we form concepts and beliefs. For empiricists, knowledge is not something we discover internally, but something we gather from external reality. This view stands in contrast to the rationalist emphasis on a priori knowledge, which is independent of experience and accessible only through reason. 
  Empiricism's roots can be traced back to ancient philosophy, with early proponents like Aristotle, who argued that all knowledge comes from sensory observation. However, the modern development of empiricism is largely credited to three major figures: John Locke, George Berkeley, and David Hume. Locke introduced the idea of the mind as a tabula rasa, arguing that individuals are born without innate ideas and that all knowledge comes from experience. Berkeley took this further by suggesting that even the existence of the external world depends on perception, encapsulating the notion that "to be is to be perceived." Hume, the most radical empiricist of the three, questioned the very basis of causality and inductive reasoning, asserting that our beliefs in cause-and-effect relationships were not rationally justified but arose from habitual experience.
