Synopsis

The world has been overtaken by a tyrant Queen who will stop at nothing to keep her power. Streets are drenched in blood, families are broken, and only those gifted with powerful elemental magic can survive.

Zekiah (Z) Akol has no such power. But he has an overwhelming grit and a body he’s forged through relentless training. He will push through, even if only on the fumes of his hatred. Yet, the Gods have other plans for him.

See, recently, they’ve been sending him dreams. Strange dreams that tug him into a past full of memories that he’d rather not relive. Dreams that he wishes he could just forget. But as old flames resurface and familiar feelings return, he finds himself sucked further and further into fabrications of the past.

Z doesn't understand why the Gods are torturing him with ancient history, but as his dreams engulf him, he’s forced to realize that the past may be his only way into the future.

In this spellbinding tale full of magic, vengeance, and healing, Proem illuminates the human struggle of moving on.

Everyone's always told Aspic that trouble can't help following him because of his heritage. Determined to put the lie to half-demon stereotypes, he's finally landed a good, quiet job as an herbalist's clerk where the owner trusts him to man the shop alone. What could go wrong selling coriander and thyme?

When Geoffrey first enters the shop, Aspic finds the little man's eccentric appearance startling, then intriguing. Geoffrey explains, in stops and starts, that he is a theoretical necromancer researching replacements for blood magic. His current line of inquiry involves seashells—do they have any in stock? Aspic's coworkers warn him that Geoffrey is a walking disaster, but he finds himself more and more drawn to a necromancer concerned with ethical death magic.

Geoffrey's first impression of the half demon shop clerk is that his brain is as fluffy as his bright pink hair, but Aspic's persistent appearances at Geoffrey's lab soon let him see the kind heart underneath the façade of friendly nitwit. Aspic's company isn't that bad, and he is someone to talk to during the frustrations of one failed experiment after another. Failed, that is, until something finally goes right—and then terribly, horrifyingly wrong.

Today's experiment: Combine one socially awkward science teacher with two beefy, former students. Mix well.

I love watching chemicals bond, but I avoid the practice myself. When I'm not teaching, I'm hanging out with my cat and putting together puzzles. I shy away from romantic entanglements because I know firsthand the collateral damage they cause.

Until I bump into Anton and Sebastian: best friends, business partners, and former wrestling superstars at South Rock High who could barely pass my class. Catching up turns into drinking, which turns into dancing, which turns into them practicing wrestling moves on me, sans clothing.

It's clear that the men have a history—and some unresolved feelings between them—but being the piece of meat in their jock sandwich unleashes a wild, confident side in me I can't ignore.

The other thing I can't ignore: we're falling for each other.

With three hearts on the line, I can't risk destroying their close friendship and burgeoning business, not to mention reliving my own past pain. But is the chemical attraction between us too strong to ignore?

The enemies-to-lovers queer Victorian romance follow-up to Don’t Want You Like a Best Friend, in which a young lord and a second son clash, but find themselves thrust together again and again by their meddling cousins.
“That man is, without a doubt, the absolute most obnoxious…
Bobby Mason is sick of being second best: born the spare, never trusted with family responsibility, never expected to amount to much. He’s hungry to contribute something that matters, while all around him his peers are squandering their political and financial power, coasting through life. Which is exactly why he can’t stand the new Viscount Demeroven.
    …insufferable…
James Demeroven, just come of age and into the Viscountcy, knows that he’s a disappointment. Keeping his head down and never raising anyone’s expectations is how he’s survived life with his stepfather. To quiet, careful James, Bobby Mason is a blazing comet in his endless night, even more alive than he was at Oxford when James crushed on him from afar. But Mason is also brash and recklessly unapologetic, destined to shatter the fragile safety of James’s world. Worst of all, he keeps rubbing James’s failures in his face.
…hottest man to ever walk the ton.”
They can barely get through a single conversation without tensions boiling over. Neither Bobby nor James has ever met a more intriguing, infuriating, infatuating man.
If only they could avoid each other entirely. Bad enough their (wonderful but determined) cousins Beth and Gwen keep conveniently setting up group outings. But when an extortionist starts targeting their families, threatening their reputations, Bobby and James must find a way to work together, without pushing each other’s buttons (or tearing them off) in the process…

People come to me because I fix things.Broken taillights, faulty dishwashers, you name it. There are very few things I can’t make brand-new again. If it’s broken, malfunctioning, or just in need of a hand, it lands in my lap. That’s how Trey ended up in front of me, an unexpected stranger in my kitchen.Only, he’s not broken.Far from it. He’s gentle, creative, compassionate, and bright, all wrapped up in this timid, cagey package of blond curls and shy smiles. He’s been dealt a bad hand, running from someone that hurt him more than just physically, and he needs my help. My protection. But Trey is different from every other guy.He makes me feel things I don’t quite comprehend. Things I didn’t know were buried inside. No matter how hard I try to keep them quiet, I can’t ignore the way his attention quickens my heartbeat or how his soft eyes and even softer lips stir up desires I’ve never had before, and now that he’s this close to me, I’m not letting anything or anyone take him away.
