Cleopatra was arguably the most famous Queen of ancient history. She was a combination of a Greek lineage, an Egyptian culture and a Roman influence. She was probably the most featured queen in arts, drama and literature in both oriental and western cultures. She is often portrayed as a woman who made use of her physical beauty to control and manipulate others. However, her true power was in her intellectual and strategic abilities.
