Synopsis

The book Muklové a Šlajsny was officially released in June 2024, and after countless mentions in the media, it finally got its audiobook version, narrated by Michal Holán.Muklové a Šlajsny won the award for the Most Beautiful Czech Book of 2023. It was exhibited at the National Museum and became a very popular title. The audiobook is enhanced with a stylish sound design, which makes it a unique and distinctive audio work.A true story about kilos of cocaine, Czech prisons, and one ultimate reformation. "Mukl" is an abbreviation for "Man Designated for Liquidation" – it's a synonym for a prisoner. "Šlajsna" is one of many slang words for a line of drugs. Muklové a Šlajsny – that's a crazy world I lived in for a few years. I'm Dan, a former dealer. If you had a good line of coke somewhere in Prague between 2010 and 2020, chances are it was mine, smuggled from the Netherlands. That's what got me busted and turned me into a mukl (inmate).
