Parker Fillmore
(18781944). U.S. author Parker Hoysted Fillmore wrote books of folktales and fairy tales for children drawn from the folklore of Central and Northern Europe. One of his best-known works is Czechoslovak Fairy Tales and Folk Tales, a collection of 15 classic Czech, Slovak, and Moravian folktales.Parker Hoysted Fillmore was born on Sept. 21, 1878, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
