James Bailey is the author of five novels. He grew up in Seattle, spent most of the 1990s in North Carolina, and has since settled in Rochester, N.Y., where he lives with his wife and Fortnite-obsessed son (and squirrel-obsessed mini dachshund). When not despairing about the state of the world, he enjoys watching soccer and listening to obscure Welsh bands no one else has ever heard of.
