Beschreibung

"Romeo and Juliet" is a tragic play written early in the career of William Shakespeare about two teenage "star-cross'd lovers" whose untimely deaths ultimately unite their feuding households. It was among Shakespeare's most popular plays during his lifetime and, along with Hamlet, is one of his most frequently performed plays. Today, the title characters are regarded as archetypal "young lovers"  PROLOGUE: Two households, both alike in dignity, In fair Verona, where we lay our scene, From ancient grudge break to new mutiny, Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean. From forth the fatal loins of these two foes A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life; Whole misadventured piteous overthrows Do with their death bury their parents' strife. The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love, And the continuance of their parents' rage, Which, but their children's end, nought could remove, Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage; The which if you with patient ears attend, What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.

Hard Boiled Detectives. Tough. Cynical. But they always get the job done no matter who - or what - gets in their way.

Richard Rogue was one of those hard boiled detectives. He had a way with one liners, a way with the ladies and a way of solving crimes that is probably unique on the airwaves. Every time he got took a fist to the jaw and got knocked out his sub-conscious took the clues and gave him the answer.

These classic programmes are wonderful reminders of times gone by. On rare instances the sound may fall short of modern audio standards.

Broadway. The Great White Way. In its theatres—one day you’re an understudy, the next a star. Your name in headlines and lights. But Broadway has an underbelly. A troubling side through which to view humanity at its worst: corrupt, dark, venal, and violent.

For Detective Danny Clover every time he walked that street another case was always just a few footsteps away. He knows everyone along Broadway—from panhandlers to operatic prima donnas—but he’s still sentimental about the street, forever an ever-changing wonderland of glamour that at any moment is ready to reveal its dark side.

    These are his stories.
