Beschreibung

Poetry is the conversation that occurs between my pen and paper because I've always been ......"Trapped inside myself with a void that seems to go unfulfilled, watching the clocks tick, But yet time remains still, silence deafening to my ear, but I can still manage to hear myself scream, waiting for tomorrow which means freedom, but its only merely a dream"-J.A Smith

A hard-hitting, claustrophic drama about trying to escape your past.
Pink loves Rolly. Rolly loves Pink. And Pink loves getting bombed off her face.
Sisters from the same nest. Both trapped in a tiny rotting world. Both cuffed to a past that refuses to release them. One wants out. The other needs her in. Trouble is that when you complete each other, you're nothing on your own.
Pests was commissioned by Clean Break in a co-production with the Royal Court Theatre, London, and the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester. It premiered at the Royal Exchange in March 2014, before transferring to the Royal Court and touring the UK.

This play is Glaspell’s recognition of the way in which Victorian society left some women feeling trapped in roles for which they were unsuited. Because of the play’s non-realistic speech patterns and expressionistic elements, it was dismissed by most critics as being muddled and confusing. It has recently been ‘‘rediscovered’’ by feminist theorists, however, who see the work as an important contribution to theatre history. In 1921 when this play was first produced, women were still expected to stay at home and be dutiful wives and mothers. Many women began to voice dissatisfaction with their lack of opportunities and tried to change the situation. Thus, the feminist movement began to take hold. Other women rebelled by retreating into despondency, depression and, sometimes, madness. The Verge also reflects the fascination with Freudian theory that was sweeping the United States at the time. Freud had delivered his first U.S. lectures in 1909, and his theories of psychoanalysis and dream interpretation were widely discussed in many popular publications of the day. Drawing together Jennifer A. McGowan's poetry of myth and folktale, and the frailties – human or otherwise – behind them, With Paper for Feet explores, mostly from a female perspective, the guts it takes to live or – often – die, un-heroically. Her characters laugh, argue, complain, suffer,

    curse.

Ascension is a poetry book about finding freedom so that you can realize your highest potential in this lifetime. For those who are ready to liberate their soul and find complete freedom.
This inspirational poetry book was inspired by my time living at an ashram receiving teachings from Shiva, The Archangels and Ascended Masters, and Divine Mother.
Ascension is a poetry book about finding freedom and the divine light within. No matter what deity you worship, or who you pray to we are all a part of the eternal. One consciousness. One community. One collective.
When we are willing to see beyond the illusion of duality we will come to understand the truth. This essential truth has been written into all spiritual traditions and religious practices throughout human history…
This is the greatest teaching of all wise spiritual teachers and traditions. We must learn to embody love.
This book has three sections. The first is dedicated to the guru of yoga Lord Shiva, the second is dedicated to the Archangels and Ascended Masters, and the third section is dedicated to Divine Mother.
By following the teaching that have been laid out by those who have come before us we can learn to embody our highest light and share our greatest gifts with each other and the planet.

The final play of the Oresteia, called The Eumenides (Εὐμενίδες, Eumenídes), illustrates how the sequence of events in the trilogy ends up in the development of social order or a proper judicial system in Athenian society.
In this play, Orestes is hunted down and tormented by the Furies, a trio of goddesses known to be the instruments of justice, who are also referred to as the "Gracious Ones" (Eumenides). They relentlessly pursue Orestes for the killing of his mother. However, through the intervention of Apollo, Orestes is able to escape them for a brief moment while they are asleep and head to Athens under the protection of Hermes. Seeing the Furies asleep, Clytemnestra's ghost comes to wake them up to obtain justice on her son Orestes for killing her.
