Beschreibung

“Greetings! To the imaginary and the unimaginary! To the living, the dead and everyone in between, my name is Keys… Skeleton Keys. And these fantabulant fingers of mine can open doors to hidden worlds and secret places … doors to the limitless realm of all the imagination.”
Ben can’t believe it when his imaginary friend the Gorblimey becomes unimaginary. The Gorblimey is loyal and kind … and real! But Skeleton Keys is far from convinced by the Gorblimey’s friendly ways. He’s got the twitch, which is (almost) never wrong, and it’s telling him the Gorblimey is dangerous and needs banishing to the endless void of Oblivion. To send him packing, all he needs to do is open the door with his key-shaped bony finger … and order will be restored.
But as Ben battles to save his new friend from Oblivion, the Gorblimey is soon the least of Skeleton Keys’ worries. For strange things happen when imaginations run wild and it seems that there’s more than one unimaginary in town. And the other unimaginary is definitely dangerous and out for revenge…
The first book in a darkly comic new series from the award-winning duo behind STITCH HEAD.

Papa Bear chases after Little Bear after he’s mistakenly whisked off to a tropical island in this sweet picture book. When the bears seek warmth from their chilly perch atop the Paris Opera House, Little Bear is mistaken for a toy bear and whisked away . . . to a tropical island! Papa Bear sets out on a frenzied journey to find Little Bear, traveling to a bustling wharf, beneath a sea brimming with coral and mermaids, onto a busy beach, and all the way to a sun-drenched island. As in The Bear’s Song, Little Bear is featured in every spread. Will Papa Bear—and the reader—find him? Children and parents alike will savor Chaud’s lush, detail-rich illustrations and the sweet story as well as the book’s bonus seek-and-find elements. Praise for The Bear’s Sea Escape“Chaud’s vibrant spreads are full of fanciful details and visual narratives for youngsters to explore. . . . Chaud has established a recognizable visual style all his own, yet the wavy motion of the landscape and sketchy quality of the figures call to mind the work of Dr. Seuss. The unobtrusive text below the pictures will serve as an excellent read-aloud for storytime. Overall, the book is engaging, and the artwork makes it even more of a gem.” —School Library Journal
