From adrenaline to dopamine, our lives are shaped by the chemicals that control us. They are the hormones and neurotransmitters that our brains run on, and Overloaded looks at the roles they play in all aspects of our experiences, from how we make decisions, who we love, what we remember to basic survival drives such as hunger, fear and sleep.

Author Ginny Smith explores what these tiny molecules do: what roles do cortisol and adrenaline play in memory formation? How do hormones and neurotransmitters affect the trajectory of our romantic relationships? Ginny meets scientists at the cutting-edge of brain chemistry research who are uncovering unexpected connections between these crucial chemicals. An eye-opening route through the remarkable world of neuro-transmitters, Overloaded unveils the chemicals inside each of us that touch every facet of our lives.

Rewire Your Mindset And Get Fast Results With Hypnosis!

The advantages of hypnosis therapy are widespread. A lot of individuals report positive changes with hypnosis and it's recognized as a valid type of holistic alternative medicine.

Hypnosis is a popular technique utilized for weight loss, overcoming addiction, healing, achieving goals, relaxation and stress relief. It's utilized to get rid of undesired behaviors and beliefs and to manifest new desires and achieve goals in life.

If you wish to influence your subconscious mind to accept new programming for positive alterations hypnosis is an effective technique for doing that.

Among the chief advantages of hypnosis is that when you in a hypnotic state brain wave frequencies decelerate. You center or focus your awareness and you're actually much more aware than usual. A state of centered awareness almost feels as though you're more of an observer of thought and images rather than a part of them. This allows you to bypass the "gatekeepers" at the entrance to the subconscious and superconscious so you are able to access these levels of consciousness directly, and the brain is much more receptive to suggestion.

The unconscious, or subconscious may then be reprogrammed so it lets go of old patterns, beliefs and feelings that no longer serve you. They may be replaced with suggestions that are favorable and affirming. The superconscious mind may open you into fresh insights and originative ideas.

A common misperception is that you only have to be hypnotized once to make lasting changes. Occasionally this is the case, but for lasting positive changes, hypnosis suggestions need to be repeated several times till your mind accepts the new programming.

You'll need to enter hypnosis and listen to your audio multiple times. Don't expect that one session will set up and run your new programs.

Put this audio on each night before you go to bed and listen to it right before you fall asleep. If you have time also listen to it first thing upon waking. Do this for at least 21 days consistently so that positive change can take affect in your life.

Are you bored of the endless scroll of your social media feed? Do you swipe left before considering the human being whose face you just summarily rejected? Do you skim articles on your screen in search of intellectual stimulation that never arrives? If so, this audiobook is the philosophical lifeline you have been waiting for.Offering a timely meditation on the profound effects of constant immersion in technology, also known as the Interface, Wish I Were Here draws on philosophical analysis of boredom and happiness to examine the pressing issues of screen addiction and the lure of online outrage. Without moralizing, Mark Kingwell takes seriously the possibility that current conditions of life and connection are creating hollowed-out human selves, divorced from their own external world. While scrolling, swiping, and clicking suggest purposeful action, such as choosing and connecting with others, Kingwell argues that repeated flicks of the finger provide merely the shadow of meaning, by reducing us to scattered data fragments, Twitter feeds, Instagram posts, shopping preferences, and text trends captured by algorithms.Written in accessible language that references both classical philosophers and contemporary critics, Wish I Were Here turns to philosophy for a cure to the widespread unease that something is amiss in modern waking life.
