UNDERSTANDING CORONA
A pandemic is keeping the world on tenterhooks, with unprecedented implications for human coexistence, science, economics and politics.
Every day, knowledge about the SARS-CoV-2 virus, its mutants, and measures to combat the infection grows. Thousands of reports, technical papers, discussions, study results, assessments, and comments reach the public.
The information covers basic areas of knowledge - from aerosols and vaccines to winter sports.
The target audience is people who want to get information quickly, politicians, authorities, universities, schools, companies, SMEs and businesses. Important sources and links on the pandemic, authorities, ministries and occupational health guidelines are directly available in the book.
A VIRUS PARALYZES US
The pandemic involving SARS-CoV-2 and known mutations of this virus poses an unprecedented medical and economic challenge to the world's population.
Measures to inhibit the spread of the virus are essential until there is sufficient immunization of the world's population.
In addition to monitoring the spread of the virus and its gene sequences, consideration of the physicochemical properties of the virus (virus persistence in aerosols, temperature dependence, dependence on humidity and UV radiation) appears relevant to reduce the spread of the virus.
WEATHER DEPENDENCE
Observations as well as literature reviews suggest a dependence of infection rates on weather conditions is likely.
PROPOSED SOLUTIONS to exit LOCKDOWN.
Proposed solutions for returning to a normal daily routine are provided. We try to explain the pandemic and make it understandable and give people a perspective on a daily life with the virus. There is also advice for politicians to encourage thoughtful reactions.

A neuroscientist explores how trauma impacts the brain, especially for women—and how we can learn to heal ourselvesEveryone experiences trauma. Whether a specific harrowing event or a series of stressful moments that culminate over time, trauma can echo and etch itself into our brain as we remember it again and again throughout our lives. In Everyday Trauma, neuroscientist Dr. Tracey Shors examines trauma with a focus on its pervasive nature—how it can happen at any time, through big or small events, and how it often reappears in the form of encoded memory. Her research reveals that when we are reminded of our trauma, reliving that tragic moment copies yet another memory of it in our brain, making it that much more difficult to forget. Dr. Shors also explores the neuroscience behind why women in particular are more vulnerable to stress and traumatic events, setting them up to be three times more likely than men to suffer PTSD.With potential long-term consequences such as addiction, anxiety, depression, and PTSD, trauma can have a lasting impact on both the brain and body. Dr. Shors illuminates the effective tools that can reduce the repetitive thoughts that reinforce our traumas, including cognitive-based therapies and trauma-informed care such as her own groundbreaking program, a combination of mental and physical training called MAP Training.By understanding how our brain responds to trauma and practicing proven techniques that can train our brains and help us let go of our tragic memories—whatever they may be—we are better equipped to leave our traumatic pasts behind and live in a brighter present.A Macmillan Audio production from Flatiron Books

Prior to the establishment of the Federal Reserve System (FRS), the U.S. economy faced frequent panics, bank failures, and credit scarcity due to unstable banking and financial systems prevailing in the market. Additionally, due to the rapid industrialization the decentralized banking system became more unstable. Specifically, the financial and the economy panic encountered during 1907 forced the congress to establish a centralized bank “The Federal Reserve System”. Congress passed the Reserve Act in the year 1913 to establish the FRS. The FRS is entitled to provide a safe, secure, and stable financial growth for the U.S.
As the FRS was created, the structure and functionalities of the central bank has evolved in phases. In the year 1935, the Fed’s monetary policy making body called the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) was formed to address the financial depression of the country. Further, the monetary policy was revised from time-to-time to address the financial panics and the bank runs faced by the public. The monetary policy addressed the surging inflation faced by passing the Federal Reserve Reform Act of 1977. Later, the monetary policy was entitled to increase the employment rate by passing the Employment and Balanced Growth act in the year 1978, and it was decided that the FRS produced the finance report to the congress twice a year.
Following the severe financial crisis in the year 2007-2008, the U.S. congress passed the Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 to increase the transparency of the working of the FRS, extend the regulatory responsibilities, and increase the safety and security of the financial aspects by providing a new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
As the working of the FRS directly impacts the financial and economical condition of the country and the individuals, it becomes very important to understand the structure, functionalities, and working of the FRS.

The experiential workbook moves beyond prescriptive self-help models by providing a gentle guide and liaison to explore the impact of sexual trauma on the mind, body, heart, and spirit. It is an invitation to heal holistically, drawing upon psychophysiology, lived body wisdom, trauma-informed embodiment practices, kinship and ancestral connections, and African spiritual practices. Most urgently, this book is a series of intimate conversations with your "self"; and remembrance that healing lives at the core of your intuition.

The mortgage bond market had become burdened with subprime loans, most of which were deceitful in their origination and ultimately resulted in delinquencies and foreclosures.   Michael Lewis’s The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine takes the reader behind the scenes, introducing the players and Wall Street institutions that unscrupulously helped fuel the housing bubble as well as the few who, not only foresaw the crash, but placed bets on the outcome.   The summary and analysis in this ebook are intended to complement your reading experience and bring you closer to a great work of nonfiction.

Krejci tracks down more than fifty displaced cemeteries throughout the Greater Cleveland area. Discover the Revolutionary War veterans, famous scientists and illustrious dignitaries found beneath gas stations and grocery stores in this eerie history of Cuyahoga County’s forgotten dead.
