Beschreibung

Love will always triumph over Evil The world is ruled by a handful of Super Rich. These, in their short-sighted management of the planet, are leading Humanity to its own self-destruction. The problem is that the same destructive dynamics, typical of the egoic mind that dominate the Universal Masters, also dwell in us common mortals, so on a smaller scale we are all co-responsible for the current situation. Do we want to continue on this path, remaining in our 'old ego', and thus become passive accomplices of Humanity's self-destruction? Or do we want to be protagonists of the global Awakening of Consciousness, to head towards a New Promised Land, save ourselves from the nuclear holocaust, and build the Earthly Paradise? But how to ”Be the change we want to see realised in the world?” Meditation and daily good deeds, are direct routes to Happiness and World Peace. When we are in meditation and we reach the state of enlightenment, then we feel a force within us that is not of this world, an unlimited trust thanks to which we fear nothing, not even a possible atomic holocaust, and we perceive something that cannot be described in words, a sense of well-being, Peace and unconditional Love, and all this turns into a universal force capable of uniting all the consciousnesses that populate the Infinite Universe. If we perceive this Love within us, we already become immortal, as we are destined to fly away to the stars, should self-destructive collective unconsciousness prevail on this planet. In the final analysis we can affirm: Love always triumphs, even in the case of self-destruction, if it does not win here it will win elsewhere, in fact as Giordano Bruno said, there are Infinite peopled worlds, in which Peace reigns forever and ever.PUBLISHER: TEKTIME

The COVID-19 pandemic has unleashed a firehose of information (much of it wrong) and an avalanche of opinions (many of them ill-founded). Most of us are so distracted by the everyday awfulness that we don't see the broader issues in play. In this book, economist Joshua Gans steps back from the short-term chaos to take a clear and systematic look at how economic choices are being made in response to COVID-19. He shows that containing the virus and pausing the economy are the necessary first steps.Gans outlines the phases of the pandemic economy, from containment to reset to recovery and enhancement. Warning against thinking in terms of a "tradeoff" between public health and economic health, Gans explains that containment gives us the opportunity to develop effective testing that will make it safe for people to interact. Once the virus is contained, we will need to pivot toward innovating, and, finally, we will come together to plan how to protect ourselves from future pandemics. He looks at policy tools that might aid an economic recovery, distinguishing between economic losses during a pandemic and a recession.Gans lays out the economic choices accessibly but with urgency, leaving politics out of it. Economics in the Age of COVID-19 is a must-listen book for anyone interested in the long-term implications of our current crisis.

    The world remains uncertain.
Africa is fragile. Many issues remain unresolved and the African, and global, situation is worsening.
South Africa has been at the crossroads for long enough. There can be no more delays, the time has come to address the many critical issues.
In Africa's Wellbeing in an Uncertain World, Vusi Gumede discusses these critical issues about Africa, with specific focus on South Africa. He has revisited opinion articles and blogs he has been writing since the mid-2000s and taken his ideas and arguments, together with his deliberations on the recent changes globally and in Africa, and presented them in this thought-provoking book. While taking into account what others have said about similar issues, this is an attempt to get us to talk about these challenges, the important issues and fundamental problems, with a view to finding solutions.
The future of the African continent could be bright if all the efforts that are being pursued for the improved wellbeing of Africans succeed. But, as Vusi Gumede reflects in this book, if South Africa is to achieve the society envisaged in the Constitution, then all South Africans, whatever the colour of their skin, have an important role to play.
