بين أحضانِ جزيرةِ "لسبوس" اليونانيةِ السّاحرة، وَفي أجواءَ "العصرِ الغنائيّ" الزّاهر، وُلِدَت شاعرةٌ فذّةٌ هي "سافو"، التي أَثْرَت التّراثَ الشّعريّ الإنسانيّ بِأَبياتٍ تَتَقاطرُ حُبًّا وَحنينًا وَشَجنًا. و في هذا الكتابِ نَغوص في عالم "سافو" الشّعريّ الذي يَمتزج فيهِ الحقيقة بالخيال، وَتَتَغنّى فيهِ بِـ "الحبّ" كَقيمةٍ عُليا وَمَصدرٍ لِلإلهام. وَنُصغي إلى أناشيدِها الرّقيقة التي كانت تُهديها لِلعرائس في ليالي أعراسِهم، وَقصائدِها التي تَصِف فيها عالمَها الخاصّ بِكلِّ ما فيه من عواطفٍ جَيّاشةٍ وَأحاسيسَ مُرهفة. و على الرّغمِ من قِلّةِ ما وصلنا من إرثِ "سافو" الشّعريّ، فإنّ أشعارَها لا تزال تُبهرُنا بِجمالِها وَصدقِها وَعُمقِها الإنسانيّ.
