    INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS
    THE ULTIMATE TRIVIA COLLECTION

FROM THE MOVIE DIRECTED BY QUENTIN TARANTINO

    CREATED BY FILM TRIVIA METAVERSE

    ABOUT THE FILM
Inglourious Basterds, directed by Quentin Tarantino, is a World War II film that blends historical fiction with intense action. It follows two main storylines: one about a group of Jewish-American soldiers, led by Lieutenant Aldo Raine, who aim to instill fear in the Nazi army by killing and scalping German soldiers. The other centers on Shosanna Dreyfus, a young Jewish woman who seeks revenge on the Nazis after they kill her family. Tarantino uses themes of vengeance, justice, and survival, blending intense violence with sharp dialogue and dark humor in a unique and stylized narrative.

    TRIVIA SAMPLES:

“Inglourious Basterds marked the first Quentin Tarantino film to win an Oscar for acting, with Christoph Waltz receiving the Best Supporting Actor award. Waltz went on to win another Oscar for his role in Django Unchained (2012).”

“In a roundtable discussion with Brad Pitt, Tarantino revealed that Til Schweiger, who was born and raised in Germany, had always refused to wear a Nazi uniform for a film. However, Schweiger agreed to do so on the condition that he could kill a Nazi in every scene where he wore one.”

“Tarantino spent nearly a decade working on the script for Inglourious Basterds.”

“Colonel Hans Landa, played by Christoph Waltz, speaks the most languages in the film, including English, French, German, and Italian.”

Ever wonder how legendary linebacker Bobby Wagner applies Jay-Z's entrepreneurial lessons to his football career? Or what studying the music business taught graffiti pioneer Fab 5 Freddy about distributing his art? Any entrepreneur or professional can gain a greater understanding of what's happening in the world -- from trends like NFTs to changes in the broader business climate -- by observing what has happened to (and because of) musicians. Doing so offers a path to wrapping one's brain around what may yet be coming down the pike in any industry. Take the shift from analog to digital, in which vinyl and cassettes were replaced by CDs long before DVDs conquered VHS. Or the move from physical to virtual, where Napster decimated record stores even as bricks-and-mortar retailers like Blockbuster blindly chugged toward their doom. In "We Are All Musicians Now," former Forbes senior editor Zack O'Malley Greenburg educates and enlightens while offering the audience backstage passes to the most fascinating industry transformations of the past fifty years.

Beyond a mere introduction to great art, Van Gogh Has a Broken Heart is about loving to learn what art has to teach us about the wonder and struggle of being alive.
Did you know that:Vincent van Gogh's attempt to start an artist's colony with Paul Gauguin lasted only nine weeks, ending in his infamous "ear episode"?Pablo Picasso was a prime suspect in the disappearance of the Mona Lisa?Artemisia Gentileschi was tortured with thumbscrews to verify her testimony at her own rapist's trial?Norman Rockwell's critics said his work would never be accepted as "high art"--and he agreed?

These stories--and many more--shaped the work these artists left behind. In their art are lessons common to the human experience about the wonder and struggle of being alive: dreams lost, perspectives changed, and humility derived through suffering.??
In Van Gogh Has a Broken Heart, Russ Ramsey digs into these artists' stories for readers who may be new to art, as well as for lifelong students of art history, to mine the transcendent beauty and hard lessons we can take from their masterpieces and their lives. Each story from some of the history's most celebrated artists applies the beauty of the gospel in a way that speaks to the suffering and hope we all face.
