Sinossi

First and foremost, personal prophecy must be placed in its proper context.

Personal prophecy is supposed to supplement and confirm God's written Word in our lives, rather than to replace it. All personal prophecy is subject to God's Word, which means that God will not speak to you in a way that contradicts the scriptural truths found in His written Word.

One of the ways we hear from the Lord is through personal prophecy, but it is far from the only way. I've encountered folks who place a larger emphasis on personal prophecy than on everything else as if everything they do requires a prophetic word.

While some feel that personal prophecy is only used to confirm what God has shown us personally and is not meant to reveal anything new about God's will in our lives, others claim that God no longer speaks through personal prophecy. Remember that God's Word says that we should "want to prophecy" and "should not reject prophesying" (1 Corinthians 12:39, 14:1,39; 1 Thessalonians 5:20).

In my perspective, one of the most important responsibilities of personal prophecy is to affirm what the Lord has previously stated to us personally. Because many people have difficulty hearing God clearly, He will communicate with us through personal prophecy and disclose His desires to us. As proven by several scriptural occurrences in both the Old and Fresh Testaments, God does reveal new things to us about His intentions for our life through personal prophecy. God revealed a calling and a plan for Paul's life that he had not previously known about, as the Apostle Paul exemplifies.
Regardless of whether or not stipulations are expressed, we must acknowledge that personal prophecy is conditional.

Everyone living on the planet today has a front-row seat to the failure of communism, socialism, and immorality. People are sick to death of the fabrications, lies, control, and tyranny. Mario Murillo draws on his recent experiences in California, where his ministry is experiencing souls being saved at a rate that surpasses even what was seen during the Jesus movement of the 1960s and ' 70s. It' s accelerating, and Murillo believes it' s a worldwide trend that has us poised for an unprecedented opportunity as the body of Christ. We must seize this moment! In It's Our Turn Now, Murillo explains why now is the time for Christians to do the following: ? Explain why everything man has taught us is bankrupting our morals and our souls ? Display the supernatural with integrity and clarity that we' ve not seen before ? Answer directly the questions that are truly on the hearts and minds of the human race We are no longer the remnant. There are millions of us, and it's time to stop believing the false reports and listen to what people around us are feeling. We have the answers a hungry world is dying for. Only the gospel of Jesus Christ can deliver us, and only the church can change the world through its power. It' s our turn to step up and stop limiting God.

Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Award Finalist
A Groundbreaking Portrait of African American Christianity
The history of African American Christianity is one of the determined faith of a people driven to pursue spiritual and social uplift for themselves and others to God's glory. Yet stories of faithful Black Christians have often been forgotten or minimized. The dynamic witness of the Black church in the United States is an essential part of Christian history that must be heard and dependably retold.
In this groundbreaking two-volume work, Walter R. Strickland II does just that through a theological-intellectual history highlighting the ways theology has formed and motivated Black Christianity across the centuries. Through his original research he has identified five theological anchors grounding African Americans in Christian orthodoxy:

    - Big God
    - Jesus
    - Conversion and walking in the Spirit
    - The Good Book
    - Deliverance
In volume 1, a narrative history, Strickland tells the story of these themes from the 1600s to the present. He explores the crucial ecclesiastical, social, and theological developments, including the rise of Black evangelicalism as well as broader contributions to politics and culture.
Swing Low offers a defining rubric under which to observe, understand, and learn from the diverse and living entity that is African American Christianity. Volume 2, a companion anthology, covers the breadth of these historical developments by presenting primary-source documents so we can listen to Black Christianity in its own words.

Originally published in 1882 in German by Bishop Frederick Justus Knecht, author of A Practical Commentary on Holy Scripture (also available from TAN), the Child's Bible History is a classic of children's scriptural catechism. Ideal for students in elementary school, this Bible history goes through each of the books of the Old and New Testament in a way suitable for young children in early grade school.
Nothing is more important for a child than catechism, and hardly anything is more useful to that end than a knowledge of the Scriptures. A favorite of catechists everywhere for this noble purpose, the Child's Bible History belongs in every Catholic grade school and home learning environment. This text is particularly suited to students enrolled in TAN Academy in elementary grades.

Is God Done With Me? is the question many parents/caregivers of special needs children/adults may find themselves asking. Developmental differences and atypical behaviors can close the doors of the church to the affected child/adult and their entire family. The resulting separation from the church body can become permanent and impact future generations of family lines. Is God Done with Me shares the testimony of a parent who found herself separated from the church at a time when a new diagnosis of autism was upending the daily life of her family. Her testimony and biblical insight will help lead your family from a state of hopelessness to empowered to reclaim your place in the body of Christ.
