Frankly, Agaton Sax should know better than to go on vacation. At least, this time, he’s managed to enjoy some rest and relaxation without stumbling into a criminal conspiracy. On the way home however, it’s a different story…from a slow train through Brosnia to a castle in Edinburgh and onwards to a motorboat speeding across the North Sea, Agaton Sax is up against a criminal mastermind who is almost - but not quite - as clever as he is.And there’s garlic. Far too much garlic. The Agaton Sax series of books were first published in Sweden, later being translated into English and printed with illustrations by much-loved artist Quentin Blake (perhaps best known for his work on the books of Roald Dahl). The English translations became immensely popular, achieving the status of the most re-issued mystery & detective series in the history of Nordic children's literature. Now, for the first time, Oak Tree Books is proud to publish the entire Agaton Sax series in audio format, newly translated for the next generation and expertly narrated by Barnaby Eaton-Jones.

Referent by Ray Bradbury - The Life of a child genius was no fun, but Roby couldn’t escape it–until a falling star taught him how to rebel!
Roby Morrison fidgeted. Walking in the tropical heat he heard the wet thunder of waves on the shore. There was a green silence on Orthopedic Island.
It was the year 1997, but Roby did not care.
All around him was the garden where he prowled, all ten years of him. This was Meditation Hour. Beyond the garden wall, to the north, were the High I.Q. Cubicles where he and the other boys slept in special beds. With morning they popped up like bottle-corks, dashed into showers, gulped food, and were sucked down vacuum-tubes half across the island to Semantics School. Then to Physiology. After Physiology he was blown back underground and released through a seal in the great garden wall to spend this silly hour of meditative frustration, as prescribed by the island Psychologists.
Roby had his opinion of it. "Damned silly."
Today, he was in furious rebellion. He glared at the sea, wishing he had the sea's freedom to come and go. His eyes were dark, his cheeks flushed, his small hands twitched nervously.
Somewhere in the garden a chime vibrated softly. Fifteen more minutes of meditation. Huh! And then to the Robot Commissary to stuff his dead hunger as taxidermists stuff birds.

In the veil of eternity, where midnight witches carve runes into the fabric of night and celestial guardians patrol the starry abyss, Elara the rune-weaver binds her fate to Orion, a fallen star-spirit exiled for loving beyond his luminous kin. Their oath, forged in a ritual of shadow ink and comet tears, awakens a tempest that could either mend the fractured veil or plunge realms into chaotic void. As they traverse ethereal bridges of woven starlight and shadowed chasms haunted by void beasts, Elara's midnight magic clashes with Orion's celestial light, revealing an ancient pact that links their souls across eons. Yet, a coven of envious witches and a legion of dark guardians conspire to shatter the runebound vow, unleashing curses that twist time itself. In the heart of the eternal veil, where every rune pulses with peril and every oath echoes with destiny, Elara and Orion must surrender to their intertwined flames to restore balance. Their love, a beacon against the abyss, becomes the rune that rewrites eternity's decree.

In the sprawling, world-renowned Zootopia safari park, Francis the Zookeeper shares an extraordinary bond with every animal, from the tiniest insect to the most majestic beast. His connection is more than just care and devotion; it's a unique form of communication, a silent language of mutual understanding and love. This special relationship is most evident with his closest friends: Thor's gorilla troop, who greet him with gentle affection; Leo's magnificent lion pride, who offer licks of friendship; and Spartan's loyal wolf pack, who rush to his side with joyous howls. Francis is their confidant, their playmate, and their protector, sharing in their joys and comforting them in their sorrows.
However, the true source of this incredible bond is a secret known only to the animals. Francis is the reincarnation of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals, returned to the world to continue his sacred work. Unbeknownst to the millions of visitors who admire Zootopia's splendor, the zookeeper's gentle authority and the animals' profound trust are not just a result of kindness, but of a divine and ancient connection. The animals, in their wisdom, recognize their saint and guardian, cherishing their time with him in their idyllic sanctuary, a living testament to a love that transcends the boundaries of species and time.
