Sinossi

A never-before-heard firsthand account of a government insider's experience on the cutting edge of UFO exploration; includes a new afterword"Forget everything you think you know about UFOs - this insider's account exposes the reality... Packed with top grade information, insightful analysis and fascinating anecdotes, Alexander's interesting and controversial book sets the gold standard for titles on this subject." –Nick Pope, author of Open Skies, Closed Minds"Changes the playing field for both true believers and skeptics alike. Alexander strongly warns, be careful what you wish for when asking for presidential intervention. Success could set the field of ufology back decades." --George Noory, host of Coast to Coast AMWhile still on active duty in the U.S. Army during the 1980s, Colonel John B. Alexander, Ph.D. created an interagency group to explore the controversial topic of UFOs. All members held Top Secret clearance. What they discovered was not at all what was expected. UFOs covers the numerous cases they saw, and answers questions like:• What was really in Hanger 18? • Did a UFO land at Holloman Air Force Base? • What happened at Roswell? • What is Majestic 12? • What is the Aviary? • What does the government know about UFOs? • What has happened with disclosure in other countries? • Has the U.S. reverse engineered a UFO? • Why don't presidents get access to UFO info? UFOs is at once a complete account of Alexander's findings, and a call to action. There are no conspiracy theories here—only hard facts—but they are merely the beginning. Foreword by Jacques F. ValleeIntroduction by Burt RutanCommentary by Tom Clancy

Part-time Writer guides the reader through all aspects of writing – from the embryonic stages of researching and planning, to the hard slog of the writing and editing, through to the presentation of the manuscript, and finally, approaching agents and publishers. At each stage, the author explains how she did it – and how the reader can do it too. * How can I write engaging dialogue? * What can I do to make my characters 'live' on the page? * Must I always 'show and not tell'? * How can I transform a hobby into a book? * When is the right time to show my work to others? * How should I present my manuscript? * Do I need an agent? * Should I self-publish? * Where can I find the time to write a novel? In her inimitable style, Marjorie Quarton merges literary memoir, anecdotes and straight talking to provide invaluable insights into the realities of being a writer, while offering indispensable advice on the trade, making this book a must-have for any aspiring author.

Aion is one of the major works of C.G. Jung's later years.

The title comes from the Greek word for aeon or age and refers to the age of Christianity, for, in Aion, Jung is concerned with the collective psychic development that the Christian era represents. How did it come about when it did? What psychic change did it represent? In exploring these questions, Jung (1875-1961) draws upon Christian symbolism and, in particular, the figure of Christ as a case study in the archetype of the Self.

The book begins with an account of the important concepts of the ego, the shadow and the anima/animus (here referred to as the syzygy). Jung then continues with his exploration of the Self archetype as represented through Christian symbolism and the figure of Christ. In particular, a discussion and critique of the Christian view of evil is provided. The symbolism of the fish, which recurs as a symbol of both Christ and of the devil, is examined in detail and a wide range of alchemical, pagan and gnostic material is drawn upon. The final chapter of the book proposes a model for the structure of the Self.

Aion is one of the most important volumes of the Collected Works and complements The Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious. Translated by R. F. C.Hull.

Dreyfus Affair and the Leo Frank...

In September 1890, among a pile of torn-up documents delivered by Mme. Bastian was found a note handwritten in French which, when pieced together, proved to be a list of French military secrets handed over to the Germans by an unknown French officer of the General Staff. This discovery, which proved the existence of a traitor in the department, triggered a ferment in the corridors of the Conseil Supérieur de la Guerre, and the hunt was on for the culprit. By a process of elimination, officers of the military intelligence were able to narrow down a list of probable traitors, among whom was a young Jewish staff officer, Captain Alfred Dreyfus, who was immediately earmarked as the chief suspect.
These are the essential facts of the “Dreyfus Affair,” as it came to be known, an episode that in many respects defined French anti-Semitism in the late 19th century. A case was built with the central objective of protecting the integrity of French military establishment, and in the process, the relatively muted anti-Semitism in France (at least compared to other European nations) was transformed into an era of virulent and violent Jew-hatred that characterized and sullied the final decade of the 19th century in France. Even today, as many of the affair’s nuances and facets have faded from memory, its political importance and anti-Semitic elements continue to be well-known and quite relevant today.
In 1913, Mary Phagan, a young Georgia factory girl and the daughter of tenant farmers, was raped and killed, and suspicion fell upon Leo Frank, the Jewish-American factory manager, who was subsequently arrested, tried, and convicted of her murder based on the thinnest of circumstantial evidence. The entire case against Frank rested on the testimony of the factory janitor, Jim Conley, despite the fact Conley had been arrested almost immediately after Frank when he was spotted washing what appeared to be blood off his clothes.

This book contains these 4 titles:
    - The Arab Spring: The Arab Springs stands as one of the most transformative events of the 21st century, reshaping the political and social landscapes of the Middle East and North Africa. Triggered in December 2010 by the self-immolation of Mohamed Bouazizi in Tunisia, the movement quickly spread across the region, igniting a wave of protests, uprisings, and revolutions.
    - The Dakota Access Pipeline Protests: The Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) protests were a defining moment in the intersection of environmental advocacy and Indigenous rights. Proposed to transport crude oil from the Bakken oil fields in North Dakota to Illinois, the pipeline’s route crossed sacred lands and the Missouri River, threatening water supplies and cultural heritage. While its proponents touted economic benefits and energy security, the project drew fierce resistance from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and their allies, sparking a global movement.
    - The Hong Kong Protests: Hong Kong, a former British colony handed back to China in 1997, has long been a symbol of political and economic success. Its unique status under the "One Country, Two Systems" framework promised a high degree of autonomy, preserving its freedoms and capitalist economy for 50 years after the handover. However, in recent years, this promise has been put to the test, as Beijing's increasing influence over the region has sparked widespread protests and growing unrest.
    - The MeToo Movement: The movement’s resonance stems from its powerful message: sexual harassment and assault are widespread issues that affect women and marginalized groups across all sectors of society, from entertainment to politics, from workplaces to homes.
