    "Scraps, orts and fragments."

Set on a June day in 1939 at a country house in the English heartland, Between the Acts captures a community suspended in time. As the residents of Pointz Hall gather for the annual village pageant, the distant drone of warplanes serves as a chilling reminder of the world outside. Virginia Woolf's final novel is a brilliant, rhythmic exploration of the spaces between—between the scenes of a play, between individual lives, and between the eras of history.

The Canvas of Consciousness: Woolf weaves a tapestry of voices, from the frustrated artist Miss La Trobe to the estranged couple Giles and Isa Oliver. Through her signature stream-of-consciousness style, she examines how art attempts to unify a fragmented society. The pageant itself becomes a mirror held up to England's past, questioning whether history is a coherent story or merely a collection of fleeting moments.

A Final, Poetic Testament: Completed shortly before her death, this novel represents Woolf at her most daring and rhythmic. It is a work of extraordinary sensory detail, where the buzzing of a fly or the rustle of a program carries profound weight. Between the Acts is a poignant meditation on the endurance of the creative spirit and the fragile beauty of life in the face of uncertainty.

Step into the interval where life and art collide. Purchase "Between the Acts" today and experience the final vision of a modernist pioneer.

Miguel & Elizabeth Newquay Beach Tales 2024
Book 2 of 6 The Tides of Trust
This is the second book in the series and the story is as follows:
After losing his mother and stepmother, 18-year-old Miguel Townsend develops a fear of the ocean he once loved. When he meets Elizabeth Carter, the lifeguard who saved his life in Book 1, grieving her fisherman father’s death, she gently helps him rediscover his connection to the water. Through patient lessons, they bond over shared loss—Miguel’s fractured relationship with his emotionally distant father, Elizabeth’s strained home life with her withdrawn mother. As Miguel learns to trust the waves again, he begins opening up, realizing grief, like the tide, ebbs and flows but never disappears. Meanwhile, his father Paul confronts his own avoidance, tentatively rebuilding their relationship. On a quiet August morning, Miguel finally dives beneath the surface, hearing his mother’s laughter in the waves—a moment of healing. The story ends with Miguel, Elizabeth, and Paul on the shore, united by love and memory, understanding that while loss changes you, it doesn’t have to drown you.
I do hope you enjoy this first instalment, and it's only $3, all subsequent will remain at that price.
I have worked very hard and meticulously to provide you with an enjoyable experience, the initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 plus and is, what can I say, a love song in modern style . The closing music ends in a modern upbeat instrumental at 2 minutes plus again looking forward to the next episode!
The story itself runs to about 16 minutes and is narrated by my wife, Claire Francis
I do hope you enjoy this audiobook and let me know what you think, there are a lot more to come

The complete audio play of Charles Dickens' glorious festive classic 'A Christmas Carol.' Ebenezer Scrooge is spending Christmas Day alone, in his Counting House, as usual. Or so he thinks. After decades of generally being rather a mean old misery, he’s built up quite an escrow of karmic debt. Enter the ghost of old Jacob Marley, our hero’s former partner in skin-flinting, who has arranged the opportunity of a lifetime for his friend; a visit from three different Spirits - Christmases Past, Present and Future - who hope to guide their night-shirted charge to a broader understanding of love, true wealth and shared humanity. But will Scrooge resist? Will he decide - after all - to stay as he is, too set in his ways to change? Or will he embrace this great gift of transformation with both hands and open his heart to life, friendship and the true meaning of Christmas?
