Such collective artistry enriches one's understanding of piracy as both a literal and metaphorical voyage. “Telling them what Jimmy did... it’s the most important thing you can tell a young player who is representing Manchester United,” - Sir Alex Ferguson

This updated, family authorised biography of Manchester United hero Jimmy Murphy celebrates the career of the man who managed the club after the Munich air disaster and took charge of Wales at the 1958 World Cup.

Alongside Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson, nobody in the long history of Manchester United is as important as Jimmy Murphy.

As legendary Manchester United manager Busby lay in an oxygen tent in his hospital bed, recovering from the horror of the Munich plane crash, he clutched the friend of his close friend and faithful right-hand-man Murphy. Murphy stepped into Busby’s shoes and answered United’s call in their hour of need. More than that, he provided the spark which would see a phoenix spectacularly rise from the flames.

Murphy would be at Busby’s side as the club famously conquered England and Europe, driven by a new generation of Babes. Murphy would remain United’s assistant manager up to 1971, going on to become a club scout, unearthing and recruiting famous talents like Gordon Hill and Steve Coppell. In his other role as Wales’ football manager, he would mastermind his country’s appearance in the World Cup finals – taking Wales to the brink of the semi-finals in 1958.

The Man Who Kept The Red Flag Flying has been written in full cooperation with Murphy’s family, with unique insight from sons Nick and Jimmy Junior. It features contributions and comments from Sir Alex Ferguson, George Best, Tommy Docherty and Ron Atkinson, among many, and rare excerpts from the Daily Mirror and Manchester Evening News archives. This updated title will celebrate the 60th anniversary of Manchester United’s 1965 First Division title and the unveiling of a statue dedicated to Murphy at Old Trafford in 2023 in its honour.

This is the story of an angst-filled kid from the desert, navigating the chaos of his parents' bitter divorce and searching for his place in the world. Each move across the country was a chance to reinvent himself, switching identities from dork to goth to skate punk, and eventually meeting his best friend who just so happens to be his musical soulmate.
With sharp humor and raw honesty, Fahrenheit-182 takes readers through Mark's formative years as a latchkey kid in the 1980s, hooked on punk rock, skateboards, and MTV. Frenzied deals, boardroom cliffhangers, political scandal and private battles punctuate this unique account of the challenges of conducting 'First World' business in the 'Third World'. When unscrupulous Italian prosecutors waged an all-out war in the media and courtroom to wrongly convict American exchange student Amanda Knox for a murder she didn’t commit, family and friends turned to Seattle attorney and media legal analyst Anne Bremner to help win her freedom. The case was dubbed the “trial of the decade” and would coincide with the explosion of social media and a new era of trying cases in public as much as the courtroom. While Italian prosecutors, the press, and online lynch mobs convicted Knox in the court of public opinion, Bremner would draw upon her decades in the courtroom and in front of the camera to turn the tide with a new kind of defense in pursuit of justice. Bremner takes us inside some of the biggest cases of recent times and offers her expert insights and analysis as our legal system faces unprecedented forces fighting to tip the scales of justice their way. Why couldn’t prosecutors convict O.J. Simpson despite all of the evidence seemingly proving he killed his wife Nicole? Could a jury remain unbiased in the face of overwhelming public pressure in the trial of Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd? Justice in the Age of Judgement is Bremner’s unparalleled and unflinching look at the captivating cases tried on Twitter and TV, where the burden of proof and fundamental legal tenet of “innocent until proven guilty” is under assault from the court of public opinion.

Tonechaser is the first in a series of audiobooks based around the hardback titled Tonechaser – Understanding Edward: My 26-Year Journey with Edward Van Halen. Veteran rock journalist and author Steve Rosen narrates the nearly 20-hour audiobook but all the interviews between Rosen and the legendary guitarist which occur in the 580-page hardback utilize the actual archival recordings made by Steve dating all the way back to 1978. So, what you are hearing in Tonechaser – Vol. 1 are hours and hours of extraordinarily rare, never before heard conversations presented here for the first time.
There has never been an audiobook such as this one. Rosen had a unique friendship with Van Halen no other writer ever experienced. Because of this very close and meaningful relationship, many of the interviews embedded in Tonechaser – Vol. 1 reveal a profound depth of respect and trust between writer and rockstar.
Van Halen fans will truly love this audiobook. Tonechaser – Vol. 1 is an important piece in the history of Edward Van Halen and a stunning tribute to the legacy of the late and legendary guitarist.
