Sinossi

A collection of three novels by D.P. Rosano, now available in one volume!

A Love Lost in Positano: Seeking respite from working in the war zone, Danny D'Amato finds himself drawn to the tranquil shores of Positano. Amidst the idyllic scenery, he encounters Gaia, a captivating woman who breathes new life into his weary soul. Their connection blossoms swiftly, but the bliss is shattered when Gaia mysteriously vanishes, leaving Danny desperate to find her. After Danny spends countless days looking for Gaia, the vast distance between them finally closes... but for reasons they could have never predicted.

To Rome With Love: As Tamara discovers the charms of Rome in the arms of her first love, the sights, food and wine sweep her away. Giorgio changes how she thinks about living. Decades can pass – marriages, death, and family can intervene – but those moments linger in the hidden layers of her consciousness. And just when Tamara thinks she has forgotten Giorgio, they find each other again, and their lives are changed forever.

Vivaldi's Girls: Immerse yourself in the captivating world of Antonio Vivaldi, where his musical genius is only part of the story. Beyond his extraordinary talent, Vivaldi was a charismatic figure who enchanted the women of Venetian society with his fiery red hair and captivating violin performances. With his transition from priest to celebrity, his allure grew even stronger. D.P. Rosano's "Vivaldi's Girls" will transport you to a time of passion, music, and the intertwining of hearts and melodies that shaped the life of one of history's greatest composers.

The title is obscure and a bit unsettling I admit; what could it possible mean? Randall Garrett wrote a story here that had me blissfully going in the wrong direction until he quietly yanked the rug from under my feet and made me fume a bit with irritation and amazement. I loved it and hated it because it did not end the way I wanted it to but the way it obviously should. The society and culture in the galaxy he has presupposed is as fascinating as the story itself and I can only hope he expanded on it in other books somewhere. The publisher quotes another story by R. Phillip Dachboden to indicate what he meant "As every thinking man knows, every slave always yearns for the freedom his master denies him... But, gentlemen," said the Physician, "I really don't think we can consider any religion which has human sacrifice as an integral part as a humane religion." "At least," added the Painter with a chuckle, "not as far as the victim is concerned." The Philosopher looked irritated. "Bosh! What if the victim likes it that way?"

An ancient mirror. A missing boy. A reality twisted by dark forces beyond comprehension.
In this eerie and cerebral tale of supernatural horror, Henry S. Whitehead and H. P. Lovecraft blend gothic dread with cosmic terror. The Trap follows the mysterious disappearance of Robert Grandison, a student at a quiet schoolhouse, shortly after the arrival of an antique mirror retrieved from a decaying estate. His tutor, Canevin, soon uncovers that the mirror is more than an object—it’s a portal to a strange, warped dimension where time fractures, forms mutate, and lost souls linger.
As Canevin pieces together the truth, he encounters the lingering presence of Axel Holm, the mirror’s original owner, whose hunger for immortality has cursed the glass with malevolent power. With Robert’s life—and sanity—hanging in the balance, Canevin must confront the eldritch forces that lie just beyond the surface of the mirror… before it’s too late.
This chilling short story offers Lovecraftian horror with a psychological edge, where science meets sorcery and no reflection can be trusted.

Karyn and her husband Roy had come to the peaceful California village of Drago to escape the savagery of the city. On the surface, Drago appeared to be like most small rural towns. But it was not. The village had a most unsavory history. Unexplained disappearances, sudden deaths. People just vanished, never to be found.

There is something about the number 3.

The Ancient Greeks believed 3 was the perfect number, and in China 3 has always been a lucky number, and they know a thing or two.

Most religions also have 3 this and 3 that and, of course, in these more modern times, three’s a crowd may be too many, except when it’s a ménage à trois. It seems good things usually come in threes.

Whatever history and culture says WE think 3, a hat-trick of stories, is a great number to explore themes and literary avenues that classic authors were so adept at creating.

From their pens to your your ears.

Whimsical and surreal, this collection of short stories won 1st Place in Sci-Fi in 2021 from Writer's Digest for self-published ebooks. All that really matters is that the listener delight in hearing these tales of adventure in the spacetime strangeness the characters encounter.
