Sinossi

In "The War Myth in United States History," C. H. Hamlin meticulously deconstructs the narrative of war as a foundational myth within American culture, exploring its implications on national identity and values. Utilizing a blend of historiography and critical theory, Hamlin examines various conflicts through the lens of cultural memory and collective myth-making, revealing how such narratives have shaped political discourse and societal expectations. The book is notable for its interdisciplinary approach, drawing from history, sociology, and literary studies to provide a comprehensive analysis of how war has been revered, romanticized, and utilized as a tool for nation-building in the United States. C. H. Hamlin, a distinguished historian with a profound interest in the socio-political dimensions of American history, brings a wealth of knowledge from his previous works that interrogate the intersections between war, myth, and identity. His background in both historical research and cultural criticism has equipped Hamlin with a unique perspective that challenges readers to reconsider accepted narratives about the American experience. His deep engagement with historical texts and contemporary critiques informs this vital exploration of how war myths have persisted through generations. This book is essential for readers interested in American history, cultural studies, and the complexities of national narratives. Hamlin's insightful analysis encourages a critical examination of the myths surrounding war and their impact on contemporary society. By unraveling the threads of these narratives, readers are invited to reflect on the true cost of such myths and their pervasive influence on national culture.

Hidden away for long millennia, the world’s most ancient sacred text reveals the past, present, and future of humanity
A million years ago, the Great Masters of Wisdom recorded a mysterious manuscript widely known as the Book of Dzyan — a Tibetan name meaning the Book of Secret Wisdom. Written in a language unfamiliar to modern philology, called Senzar, this oldest book in the world has served as the source of every ancient religion, philosophy, and science.
The Masters stored it in the legendary realm of Shambhala, each century admitting only a few chosen ones to read some of its pages. Thus, in the 19th century, Madame Blavatsky was permitted to translate and publish nineteen stanzas from the Book of Dzyan in her highly influential masterwork, The Secret Doctrine.

Now a new excerpt, consisting of twelve stanzas and supplemented with exclusive material, is published in English for the first time. Reading through the pages of this work, you will be able to trace the whole course of the spiritual evolution of humanity and our Earth beyond Time and Space:
    ·        understand the processes currently affecting our planet, which manifest daily in anomalous weather, global warming, and natural disasters around the world
    ·        discover what was behind the famous prophecies of 1999 and 2012, as well as learn about the great significance of 2017 in the history of modern humanity
    ·        peer into the near future that awaits us all within the next few decades and explore the magnificent distant times of Divine Humanity

With every new reading, more and more secrets will be revealed

Efforts at colorblindness and antiracism have not been very effective in addressing racial tensions in the United States. Colorblindness ignores the realities of race and the history of injustice. On the other hand, antiracism centers racial concerns and in so doing often alienates people who need to be involved in the process. Sociologist George Yancey offers an alternative approach to racial relations where all parties contribute and are mutually accountable to one another for societal well-being. He provides empirical rationale for how collaborative conversations in a mutual accountability model can reduce racial division. History and societal complexity mean that different participants may have different kinds of responsibility, but all are involved in seeking the common good for all to thrive. Avoiding unilateral decisions that close off dialogue, Yancey casts a vision for moving beyond racial alienation toward a lifestyle and movement of collaborative conversation and mutuality.

Adoption is a profound and life-altering experience, one that reshapes the lives of both children and parents. It is a journey that begins with the desire to provide a child with the safety, love, and support they need to grow, while also offering parents the opportunity to nurture and build a family. Adoption is unique because it is not just a legal process, but an emotional and relational journey that involves new beginnings, hopes, and dreams for the future.
For adoptive parents, the decision to adopt can be filled with excitement, but also with uncertainty and challenges. The process itself can be complex, involving a range of legal, emotional, and logistical steps. It requires careful preparation, openness to learning, and a deep understanding of the child’s needs, which may include navigating loss, identity, and the need for belonging. Adoptive parents often face questions about how to best bond with their child, how to create a secure and nurturing environment, and how to build a lasting and trusting relationship.
For the child, adoption is a journey of its own. It involves the experience of joining a new family, which may include adjustments to a new home, new caregivers, and, in some cases, a new culture or environment. Children may struggle with feelings of loss or confusion, and the process of building trust and attachment can take time. However, with the right guidance, care, and patience, adoption can also provide children with a fresh start—an opportunity to experience love, stability, and the sense of belonging that every child deserves.
