    The Pendle Witches England 1600's
Book 4 of 7 The Curse of Alizon Device
The books are fictionally based on the true names and part facts of seven of the accused witches involved being sentenced to death mostly, although innocent, and is as follows:
Alizon Device, a young healer from Pendle Hill, accidentally unleashed her latent witchcraft powers during a heated encounter with peddler John Law. When he refused to sell her pins, her angry curse left him paralyzed—a consequence she immediately regretted. Her desperate attempt to apologize became a damning confession when Law's son reported her to witch-hunter Roger Nowell.
Imprisoned in Lancaster Gaol, Alizon implicated her family under pressure, including her blind grandmother, Old Demdike, who died before trial. A spectral crow offered her freedom if she betrayed her kin, but she refused. At trial, her nine-year-old sister Jennet's testimony sealed their fate.
On August 20, 1612, Alizon was hanged, maintaining her remorse but not her innocence. Her story endures as a tragic tale of unchecked power, familial betrayal, and the deadly consequences of fear in 17th-century England.
This is the fourth book in a series of seven audiobooks and I do hope you enjoy ,(might not be the appropriate word, this fourth instalment, and it's only $3 dollars.
the initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 minutes plus, called Haunting Elegy, uses flute and harp to set the scene of witches living life as they could. The closing music ends in a sad way, called Melancholy same instrumental at nearly 3 minutes as the fate that befalls these innocent people awaits them.!
The story itself runs to about 15 minutes, and and is narrated in my own voice.
I do hope you and enjoy this audiobook and let me know what you think, there are a lot more to come!

On Halloween eve 1938, people across America gathered around the radio to listen to their favorite Sunday evening program. Expecting to hear the latest drama from Orson Welles's Mercury Theatre, many were alarmed when news
bulletins interrupted the show. New Jersey had been rocked by mysterious explosions. The announcements continued, each more frantic than the last. An invading army's strange and powerful weapons had killed thousands. Listeners
feared the worst. Was America under attack by the Germans? Could this be the start of another world war?

Award-winning author Gail Jarrow reveals in riveting detail the events leading up to the terrifying radio broadcast and its aftermath. She explores the reactions of listeners, the mass hysteria reported by the media, the public's susceptibility to
propaganda, and the role of radio as a source of both entertainment and information.

The shocking broadcast has never been forgotten. Tune in …
