  Le Queux (1864-1927) was an Anglo-French journalist and writer who was also a diplomat, traveller, flying buff and wireless pioneer. His best-known works are the anti-French and anti-Russian invasion fantasy The Great War in England (1894) and the anti-German invasion fantasy The Invasion of 1910 (1906), the latter becoming a phenomenal bestseller. He wrote over 150 novels, many dealing with international intrigue, and a number of non-fiction works. This novel was first published in 1913.

  Afro-Punk Sci-Fi-Alt Rock comic book series AFROTHUNDA by Seattle-based BIPOC rock band King Youngblood.Episode 1 – New Tomorrow is the first of a 12-volume comic book collection by KYB. The story centers around four alien musicians from Planet Xenon who end up on Earth as babies when their planet is destroyed by the Evil Dr. Eval Petrovskin. The story takes the superheroes back and forth between saving the world from Petrovskin’s efforts to blow up Earth as he did their home planet Xenon, and being a top up and coming afro-punk alt-rock band based in Seattle. Life imitates art in the music and comic book series.Appearing in the series is Turbo played by Super Bowl Champion Seahawk running back Robert “Turbo” Turbin and three-time Grammy winning multi-platinum producer Phil Peterson who plays Dr. Eval Petrovskin. The band members play themselves and the story line includes many local rock bands from Portland to Seattle and across the USA. Each Episode features a new KYB song with the first being the remix of New Tomorrow featuring rapper/football player/broadcaster Robert “Turbo” Turbin for Episode 1.The 5 song EP includes strong hard alt rock tracks – Gentrify Me, You’re On Your Own (YOYO) and Wrong of Me. The remix of New Tomorrow includes a one of a kind rapper by Turbo Turbin in celebration of his lead character role in the first edition of Afrothunda.   Frank O’Hara was one of the great poets of the twentieth century and, along with such widely acclaimed writers as Denise Levertov, Allen Ginsberg, Robert Creeley, and Gary Snyder, a crucial contributor to what Donald Allen termed the New American Poetry, “which, by its vitality alone, became the dominant force in the American poetic tradition.” 
  Frank O’Hara was born in Baltimore in 1926 and grew up in New England; from 1951 he lived and worked in New York, both for Art News and for the Museum of Modern Art, where he was an associate curator. O’Hara’s untimely death in 1966 at the age of forty was, in the words of fellow poet John Ashbery, “the biggest secret loss to American poetry since John Wheelwright was killed.”. 
  This collection is a reissue of a volume first published by Grove Press in 1957, and it demonstrates beautifully the flawless rhythm underlying O’Hara’s conviction that to write poetry, indeed to live, “you just go on your nerve.
