Sinossi

Ask God to pardon you for being so busy and distant as you begin to bathe in His presence. Solicit His assistance in quieting your heart and mind so that you can hear His voice. Make a promise to God that you will seek Him and enter the secret spot.

Now is the time to be immersed in God's presence, to be drenched by the Holy Spirit. Here are some measures you can take to go on a new amazing adventure of beautiful communion with God:

Wait in a receiving posture rather than a providing one. Lie down on the floor in a surrendered position or wait in a quiet spot away from distractions. Because there's so much going on at church, it's frequently tough to soak.

Relax your mind. To enter the spirit realm, you must first transcend your mind's busyness.

    Study Scripture with John Stott
The beatitudes reveal to us eight qualities that bring God's blessing: meekness and mercy, poorness in spirit and purity of heart, mourning and hunger, peacemaking and persecution. Jesus highlighted these to offer both encouragement and instruction on living distinctly as his followers in a world with values much different from God's. As we study these qualities and integrate them into our lives, we will receive the blessing Jesus promised to his followers then and now.
John Stott was one of the world's leading and most-loved Bible teachers and preachers. In this newly updated Bible study guide you can explore Scripture under his guidance, enhancing your own in-depth study with insights gained from his years of immersion in God's Word.

Is there anything we can do?We know that in a fallen and broken world there will always be pain and poverty, sickness and sadness. Yet as followers of Christ, we are called to bring hope and healing to those who hurt. What, then, is our responsibility to alleviate human suffering this side of eternity? Our response to the least of these, Jesus tells us, impacts not just those in need but also our own hearts and potentially even our salvation. The Least of These brings together a collection of respected Christian thought leaders to provide a multifaceted look at the body of Christ’s relationship and responsibility―both individual and corporate―to the marginalized of our society. The messages in this audiobook were delivered at the Third World Convention of Christian Missionary Fellowship International at her headquarters in Koume, Bertoua, Cameroon from 8th to 17th December 2019 to brethren of the Community from 93 nations from six continents. We were gathered to give account to God, thank and celebrate Him who blessed and enabled us to accomplish the Phase 2 goal of our work.
These messages serve as an orientation for the pursuit of the goal, and directives for our work in the next five to seven years. In pursuing these directives as a disciple-making movement, God being our Helper, and by the blessings of the Lord, we expect to be a community in which every member loves the Lord Jesus or returns to the first love for the Lord Jesus.
Our heart cry to the Lord is that these messages would help keep us on the rails and stir us to work hard at accomplishing the goal that we joyously accepted and committed ourselves to before our blessed Lord and Master Jesus Christ.

    You have a calling.

First, God calls us all to know and love him. Second, for each individual there is a specific call—a defining purpose or mission, with implications for all of life.

In this classic book on vocation, Gordon Smith invites you to discover your calling by listening to God and becoming a coworker with him. Courage and Calling has helped thousands of readers explore questions such as these: What is my calling? How do I live it out in the midst of difficult relationships or moral challenges? Will my vocation change as I enter a new stage of life? With competing needs and demands, how can I craft a balanced way of living?

Smith explores how to pursue excellence in all kinds of work and how to continue growing throughout a lifetime. He also considers four examples of particular callings: business, the arts, education, and religious leadership.

This third edition includes a new chapter that explores how a church community can be a dynamic venue for discerning vocation.
