Sinossi

The Woman in White Wilkie Collins - The Woman in White is Wilkie Collins's fifth published novel, written in 1859. It is considered to be among the first mystery novels and is widely regarded as one of the first (and finest) in the genre of "sensation novels". It is arguably the authors masterpiece. A tale of love, marriage, betrayal and mistrust, the gripping story is unraveled through diaries, first-hand accounts, and different points of view. In 2003 The Observer listed The Woman in White number 23 in "the top 100 greatest novels of all time",and the novel was listed at number 77 on the BBC's survey The Big Read.

    Thin Black Road
    There’s a thin black road
    I have traveled many times.
    It leads to peace
    In so many ways.
It’s kind of hard to describe
    For the road’s oft unclear.
    It unfolds to me
    Like a lovely gift
    One word at a time.
Then, music fills in the gaps,
    Making worries fade away,
    As unexplainable peace pours in.
    There’s a thin black road
    It leads me to peace.
When good or ill tidings come
    To threaten my equilibrium,
    I will travel that road
    And return to peaceful calm.

Set in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, this romantic tale unfolds against a background of political unrest and tenant agitation in Ireland. The poet William Butler Yeats is a central figure in the Irish literary revival, while Maud Gonne, a political activist, is passionately involved in the struggle for Irish independence. But this is not a dissertation about Yeats' work, nor is it about the history of the day or the political involvements of Maud Gonne. It is a love story, containing some of the most poignant poems ever written.

A love story about transition, testosterone, and James Dean.
Josh and Isabella are childhood sweethearts. They were meant to spend their gap year together, they were meant to be together forever. But Isabella has now become a boy.
Pronoun was commissioned as part of the 2014 National Theatre Connections Festival and premiered by youth theatres across the UK. Especially written for young actors, the play can be performed by a cast of seven, with some doubling of roles, or a much larger cast.
