Sinossi

In the quaint town of Willow Creek, nestled amidst rolling hills and whispering pines, lies the heartwarming tale of "Olive." Penned by the acclaimed author, Lily M. Haynes, this captivating novel weaves a tapestry of emotions, painting a vivid portrait of life's complexities and the enduring power of love.
At the center of the narrative stands Olive, a woman whose existence is akin to a delicate dance between light and shadow. Haunted by the ghosts of her past, Olive navigates the intricate maze of relationships with an air of resilience, yet her heart bears the scars of bygone tragedies.
As the pages unfurl, we are drawn into Olive's world, where every street corner whispers secrets, and every interaction holds the promise of redemption. Through Haynes' masterful prose, we witness Olive's journey of self-discovery, where she confronts her deepest fears and embraces the tender mercies of hope.
Interwoven with the rich tapestry of Willow Creek's inhabitants, each character adds depth and nuance to the narrative. From the enigmatic bookstore owner who harbors a secret passion for poetry to the reclusive artist who finds solace in the strokes of his brush, every individual leaves an indelible mark on Olive's path.
Against the backdrop of changing seasons and the gentle melody of the town's heartbeat, "Olive" unfolds as a poignant ode to the human spirit. It is a story of forgiveness, of second chances, and of the profound beauty found in life's simplest moments.
With its evocative imagery and lyrical prose, "Olive" transcends the boundaries of mere storytelling, leaving an indelible imprint on the reader's soul. Haynes invites us to embark on a transformative journey alongside Olive, where tears mingle with laughter and where, ultimately, love triumphs over despair.

Kirian and I were just 12 years old when I pulled him from the icy waters of the creek behind my house. As he looked in my direction with unseeing lavender eyes, I quickly realized our age was just about the only thing we had in common. He spoke with an accent, he had pointy ears, and he was so beautiful it made my heart ache. Oh, and he claimed to be a fae prince cursed by witches who stole his sight.
I thought he was crazy from hypothermia. Turns out, he wasn’t, and for some reason he keeps coming back. But a day in my world is a year in his. Every time I see him, he’s older. Wiser. Hotter.
Over the past six years, I’ve tried not to fall in love with him because the terms of the curse are clear: If he doesn’t wait for his fated mate in all ways, including an innocent (or not-so-innocent) kiss, he’ll be blind forever.
So when Kirian kisses me and pulls me through the portal to his realm, I make it my mission to do some damage control. It’d be a whole lot easier if he wasn’t determined to marry me...and if someone wasn’t trying to murder me every step of the way.
The Fae King's Curse is a full-length novel with no cliff-hanger.

    J. Habakuk Jephson's Statement is a short story written by Arthur Conan Doyle first published anonymously in The Cornhill Magazine in january 1884.
Conan Doyle has been inspired by the real case of the ship Mary Celeste which has been found drifting in the Atlantic off Portugal, under full sail but apparently abandoned. He has been one of the first to publish a version of what happened. He drew heavily on fact but included significant differences that have since accredited to the real story, not least in calling the ship the Marie, rather than Mary, Celeste. Some journalists even took his account for real.
Joseph Habakuk Jephson, a soldier who was hurt in the battle of Antietam during the American Civil War, is in convalescence. One day, an old black maid offers him a black oval shaped stone which belonged to her ancestors. At the end of the war, Jephson gets married and establishes himself as a doctor in Brooklyn.
