Sinossi

"The Sorcerer" is a two-act comic operain which a young man, Alexis, is obsessed with the idea of love levelling all ranks and social distinctions. To promote his beliefs, he invites the proprietor of J. W. Wells & Co., Family Sorcerers, to brew a love potion. This causes everyone in the village to fall in love with the first person they see and results in the pairing of comically mismatched couples. In the end, Wells must sacrifice his life to break the spell.

In this often witty, sometimes furious, and sometimes downright surreal collection, James Domestic does - as per usual - whatever the hell he likes, with poetry, prose, and lyrics, all thrown into the mix with abandon. Punk, politics, habit, the nature of work, the environment, nostalgia, aging, and some quintessentially British whimsy, all crammed in together like a last minute bag hurriedly packed for tour. Somehow it works. A man in too many bands to count (The Domestics, PI$$ER, Da Groins, Tokyo Lungs... that's not even half of 'em), a solo artist, a vocalist, a songwriter, a DJ, a poet, a painter, someone who failed miserably at school, spent his early post-school life between the chemical factory and the dole, and somehow now has a PhD (yep, it's genuinely Dr Domestic!). A square peg in life's round hole. A face that never really fitted. He couldn't care less. Come along for the ride. Domesticated is an eighty page collection of James Domestics street-poetry and punk-prose.He's always on the road and at the gigs. His poetry has earned him comparisons to John Cooper Clarke, Ivor Cutler, Spike Milligan and Banjamin Zephaniah, amongst others.

Within a ten-month period, Neil Peart lost both his 19-year-old daughter, Selena, and his wife, Jackie. Faced with overwhelming sadness and isolated from the world in his home on the lake, Peart was left without direction. This memoir tells of the sense of personal devastation that led him on a 55,000-mile journey by motorcycle across much of North America, down through Mexico to Belize, and back again.
Peart’s journey of self-exile and exploration chronicle his personal odyssey and include stories of reuniting with friends and family, grieving, and reminiscing. He recorded with dazzling artistry, the enormous range of his travel adventures, from the mountains to the seas, from the deserts to the Arctic ice, and the memorable people who contributed to his healing.
Ghost Rider is a brilliantly written, and ultimately triumphant narrative memoir from a gifted writer and the drummer and lyricist of the legendary rock band Rush.

A tender love story, a serpentine villainess, a glittering setting in London society and a shower of Wildean witticisms are only a few of the reasons this play has enjoyed hugely successful revivals in London and New York. This 1895 drama also seems eerily prescient, as it explores the plight of a promising young politician, desperate to hide a secret in his past. With empathy and wit, Wilde explores the pitfalls of holding public figures to higher standards than the rest of us.An L.A. Theatre Works full-cast performance featuring Rosalind Ayres, Jacqueline Bisset, Paul Gutrecht, Martin Jarvis, Robert Machray, Miriam Margolyes, Alfred Molina, Jim Norton and Yeardley Smith.

A memoir of standing tall against the odds
Australian voice-over artist Lofty Fulton knows what it's like to have the odds stacked against him: Born with achondroplasia, which is a form of dwarfism, his grandmother thought he should be locked away from the world. At school, he suffered years of relentless bullying, believing the lie he would never be loved or good enough.

At 15, Lofty's voice broke, giving him a unique gift that paved the way for his future.

LOFTY: MY LIFE IN SHORT is a deeply personal memoir - of vulnerability and courage and humour as Lofty unpacks the events of his traumatic childhood, public bigotry; a failed marriage, the highs and lows of a successful radio career and his struggles with crippling general anxiety disorder, clinical depression and a serious gambling addiction.

Lofty's story is a collusion of light and shade; a reflection on what it means to be human, to search for meaning and purpose. From brokenness to breakthrough, Lofty has slayed many of his inner demons, rising to become one of Australia's most sought after and recognisable voices.
