Summary

Three seconds. That's the time I spend every day admiring the boy I'm in love with unnoticed. Zero seconds. The time Patrick has devoted to me every day for the past few years since he returned to Columbus to attend high school.

I would so much like things to change, but every time I get close to him, I am always left burnt and humiliated.
I don't understand why he resents me so much, that he never misses an opportunity to make me feel mistaken.
Still, I can't stop thinking about him, until Sawyer, the most antisocial and grouchy boy in school, comes along. I have never had anything to do with him, even though his eyes are often on me. There has always been a safe distance between us but as soon as this was violated, here comes Patrick. I don't know how it happened, but I feel like I'm caught between two fires, and now I don't know which way to turn.
A secret that could put an end to that feud or start a real war between Good and Evil.

Xuanzang and his disciples arrived at Wuzhuang Temple, the abode of Immortal Zhenyuan. In the temple was a special ginseng fruit tree that produced only 30 fruits every 10,000 years. Immortal Zhenyuan was away when they arrived at the temple, but he had instructed his two servants to treat Xuanzang to two ginseng fruits. However, Xuanzang was frightened at the sight of the fruit which resembled a newborn infant and refused to eat it. Pigsy asked the monkey to steal three other fruits for themselves. When the servants realized that fruits were missing, they accused Xuanzang of theft and began abusing the group. The enraged monkey destroyed the ginseng fruit tree and led the team to escape at night. When Zhenyuan returned to his temple and learned what happened, he captured the pilgrims and asked them to revive the ginseng fruit tree. The monkey asked Guanyin for help and brought the tree back to life.

It’s December 1st and the most exciting Christmas countdown has begun! George and Matilda are visiting Granny for a festive treat of hot chocolate and marshmallows – a favourite family tradition under the twinkling Christmas Tree when they open the first door on their Advent Calendar. But things don’t quite go according to plan … just as they snuggle on the sofa together under a cosy blanket with a slice of warm gingerbread each, a great big whooshing sound comes out of the fireplace and the air is suddenly filled with funny-looking envelopes, magical sparkles and a delicious smell of cinnamon! A bundle of extra-special and beautifully illustrated letters from the North Pole Elves has arrived via the Magical Wind Machine of International Elf Service.
Bursting with excitement, they read them aloud, one by one, hearing incredible stories from Elfie and friends, as well as Father and Mother Christmas, as they all prepare for The Big Delivery on Christmas Eve.
Every letter is jam-packed with the latest secrets from the North Pole - a hilarious adventure full of crazy inventions and pranks, muddles and mishaps, LOTS of candy and some very important Emergency Pyjama Meetings, all wrapped up with a huge amount of Christmas Magic.
Young listeners will be completely captivated by the daily updates from Elfie (North Pole Scribe) as well as some wacky and wonderful news from the other Elves – Marty (Inventions Elf), Jenny (North Pole Gardener), Lily (Chief Organising Elf), Dani (Repairs Elf), Stan (Chief Mining Elf), Dave the Stitch (Uniform Upgrades Elf) and Bubbles (Laundry Elf).
This year, they discover that Father Christmas has organised a Magical Winter Sports Day (complete with magical prizes), Marty has the dreaded North Pole Pox (or does he?), Dani tries to fix an urgent problem with The Sleigh’s Compass, and some very unusual Glittery Shimmers appear in the Cinnamon Mine. It’s definitely going to be the best Christmas ever!
