Step into a world where enjoying life and responsible choices intersect. This isn't about saying 'no' to fun; it's about saying 'yes' to a balanced, mindful approach to drinking. Through insightful strategies and practical tips, we'll explore how to embrace a vibrant social life without sacrificing well-being. This isn't about abstinence; it's about finding the sweet spot where drinking and responsibility meet to create a reasonable drinking practice. Working with individuals who have struggled with substance use has been a substantial portion of my professional practice. It is my sincerest hope that what I have learned from working in collaboration with many courageous individuals to overcome alcohol misuse be imparted to you as a more balanced approach to drinking.

Alfred Louis Kroeber (1876-1960) was an American cultural anthropologist who founded the anthropology department at the University of California, Berkeley, as well as directing that campus’ Museum Of Anthropology from 1909 through 1947. Kroeber and his students did important work collecting cultural data on western tribes of Native Americans. Kroeber is credited with developing the concepts of culture area, cultural configuration , and cultural fatigue. Types of Indian Culture In California is an early monograph published by the University of California. The Alaska–Yukon–Pacific Exposition was a world's fair held in Seattle in 1909, publicizing the development of the Pacific Northwest. The fairgrounds became the campus of the University of Washington. The fairground’s design (by the Olmstead brothers, sons of Frederick Law Olmstead, designer of Central Park, New York) strongly influenced the subsequent physical development of the campus. Visitors numbered 3,700,000. This is the report of the commissioners responsible for California’s exhibit. It reveals aspects of the state’s economy and culture at that time. - Summary by Wikipedia and david wales

My career was being trained as and working as an Engineer mostly for Fortune 100 companies.
In parallel with that I’ve also been working on spiritual enlightenment and developing my paranormal abilities for the last fifty years.
This unusual combination of skills has led me to my passion of writing about the paranormal and many “out of the box” concepts and topics. I’ve actually written twelve books about the paranormal based on my experiences and research into these topics.
One topic which has always fascinated me has been how many paranormal experiences are usually interpreted by mental health professionals as delusional and mentally ill behaviors.
My thinking is that most people have spiritual and paranormal abilities and these cause experiences which can overwhelm some people to make them fit the diagnosis of them having mental illnesses.
Certainly there are a lot of legitimate mental illnesses which cause the need for treatments by mental health professionals.
But what happens when persons having these experiences may be normal and stable in their other behaviors but these experiences are so far beyond the norms of society that others think they are “crazy” and therefore treat them as such?
I’ve heard and read a number of stories over the years where I wonder if they were real experiences which might have just caused the person who lived them to have a nervous breakdown.
This book is my effort to help people understand the interfaces of real paranormal experiences and mental illness and how to tell which is which.
Also, what additional therapies can be used to help people who may be overwhelmed by these experiences?
